My porn blocking software

Hey guys,

I decided to share this as I had SEVERAL break throughs and fails and I think I finally got a fool proof way of not only blocking porn, but also blocking all unwanted sites.



Phone (works on Android 9 or higher):
Private DNS under network settings (set to security-filter-dns.cleanbrowsing.org )

PLUS

Stay focused app (it is free ) set on strict mode with locked settings and play store.

To unlock the app you can set it to require a QR code, which I randomly emailed to a member of my family with a note "please don't delete this email" in case I will want to unlock the phone.



Computer:
As I don't have WiFi at home since my phone plan has unlimited data, I use my phone as a hotspot and the DNS server also filters porn on my laptop.

In addition I also use COLD TURKEY app (it costs something like 25usd for lifetime use) to block time wasting sites etc.


As I said, after many ups and downs this works perfectly and I'm super happy.

Thank you for not mentioning the ways around this.

I'm sure there are always ways around and I had in the past with all my attempts tried to find them, sometimes I found them completely unintentionally.

However, I just wanted to share what works for me and I hope I might have helped.

 

I think that keeping your phone and computer porn free with all sorts of apps is a bit like keeping your bicycle safe:

No matter how many locks you put on it, how good are the locks and how safe is the location you leave it, it might still get stolen. However, the more complicated you make it with the locks etc., the more likely it is that the person trying to steal the bike will give up and end up not stealing it.

 

What I am doing now is whenever I get a chance, I put an extra lock on, add another layer to the current security. It's not perfect, but it works.
