    Hello friends, do you know any one who breaks his own world records daily ?. That is me !. I feeling just like that at the moment, since I began rebooting 4 months back. I am celebrating my 122 days today, with no PMO, no relapse. But, 19 days back (at my 103 ), though I tried sex it was not good as such. Dear fapstronauts , I have a question that always goes around my head. That is about alcohol in take;
    Actually I don't drink alcohol daily. But, sometimes especially in week-ends i have a habit to drink four or five glass of beer. I see in some reboot forums a debate. Someone says; NO "alcohol has absolutely zero effect on rebooting. Porn damages your brain by conditioning your mind to respond to only certain sexual stimulation." and some others say YES, "alcohol has a negative effect on a reboot if you are a male. Alcohol, like PMO, messes with your male hormones. Drinking alcohol lowers your testosterone, increases conversion of testosterone to estrogen, and due to the endorphin release".
    Dear fapstronauts
    Is there any correlation between alcohol and PMO recovery ?

    To me, it does not cause relapse. But i'm in doubt whether it delays recovery time or not.

    I guess, it's more about you as you see it. For some guys alcohol is some way of a an escape, for others is a trigger to relapse and other people like to stick with a strict regiment to challenge their will. So I guess to actually answer this question you should first know what is alcohol to you and then decide.

    Good luck!!!!

    You've done well, congratulations. If alcohol hasn't set you back and you've made it this far there might not be need for concern. But since you are asking maybe there is a question in the back of your mind and you are not sure. For me I enjoy a night on the weekend of unwinding, usually with a six pack or more ( I know too much ). I don't think about it much during the week and I think it's more of a problem drinker thing than being classified as an alcoholic. At times I've been strong enough to get through the night and the next day without giving in to porn or MO, at other times I'm sure we all know that when your inhibitions are low, that categorizing "self acceptance" as an excuse because at that point you don't give a shit is permission to fail again. Again congrats on your success, many of us are struggling week to week. It's all up to you.

    One beer from time to time could be positive for your health (some disagrea), i think your fine. A nice evening is also worth something.

  7. 2 beers a week can be healthy I heard few decades ago. If its natural I think cause most beers these days are made from powder.

    Anyway, I don't drink beer or any alcohol(Since became hardcore Christian) and I don't suggest to anyone drinks that you won't be giving to children.
    From experience, it's much easier to have a clean and long streak with staying away from things that even a little fogs brain or messes up dopamine. Alcohol too affects dopamine, just like sugar and caffeine. Sure these are not the most dangerous things for ending the no PMO streak.

    No matter if you are addicted to PMO or not, alcohol is not good for your body. I completely stopped drinking even if I was drinking very little before, the same as you, a few beers with friends on weekends. But I don't know, for someone maybe a drink or two from time to time is ok, but I choose not to drink anymore. My father was an alcoholic, so this fact maybe helped me to make this decision. Also, in my opinion, I think I am doing better in my reboot since I stopped drinking and I think that reboot can be faster if you stop drinking.

    @pcmaster There is no way that alcohol can be healthy.

    Anyway, 122 days is an amazing success. Just keep going with your streak and try to implement more good habits in your life. Quitting drinking can be one of the good things you can do for yourself. Good luck!
