Double Standard for Male Victims of Molestation

Discussion in 'Off-topic Discussion' started by Deleted Account, Feb 11, 2020.

  1. This is disturbing whether a man or a woman does it ... and this double standard is something that definitely needs to go away. There's a reason this is illegal ... not just because it's immoral ... but it causes lifelong traumatic issues with the victim ... whether it's a boy or girl. These boys aren't "lucky" ... and it's insane to think people actually have this perspective.

A rule or standard of good behaviour (thou shalt not rape children) that, unfairly, (statistically speaking gender hasn't been proven to make rape any better) some people (men) are expected to follow or achieve but other people (women) are not.

That's not the point. Of course a teen boy fantasizes about his hot teacher. And there's nothing wrong with that. However that doesn't mean that they would actually be happy if that really came true. In fact there's a lot of evidence showing that a teen boy who gets molested by their teacher usually ends up miserable, because the power dynamic between a child and his adult teacher is hazardous to the kid's mental health. Therefore it's extremely irresponsible and morally wrong of the said teacher to take advantage of her position in that way. Children aren't capable of giving consent in a reliable way. They can't make big decisions in their life the way adults can.

With that in mind it's equally irresponsible to further the idea that it would be okay and even advisable for adult teachers to molest children. Because even if there are a lot of boys who fantasize about it, or hell, even if there were some kids who could enjoy it, the vast majority of boys would be severely traumarized if it actually happened to them.

  5. Again, molesting is not having sex.
A kid fantasize about having sex, maybe in strange way but still consensual sex.
Here we criticize people that can't accept the idea that also boys can be molested because "they all want this, they should feel lucky". That's the point.
The kid in the video hab been molested.
you can believe it or not but he didn't wanted to have sex with his teacher but was not able to say no and the teacher took advantadge of him.
Can happen also to boys, and we are discussing about this.
If your only point is that it's obvious that kids want to bang their teacher so there's nothing to say, then say nothing.

  6. Good thread. Even with the slightly argumentative tone to a lot of it from both sides of the fence. #bekind people.

So.. I would've been one of those guys saying "yeah, wish I had that when I was a kid" and yes up absolutely had a crush on teachers/older women. As someone else said, big difference between abuse and consensual sex. The nuance in here not really being mentioned much is the abuse that becomes consensual.

What I mean by that is long term abuse of minors where the end result is a consensual relationship based on not knowing it shouldn't be happening. This was me as a child and through doing nofap I've came to link that abuse (that's what it was) to a lot of the reasons for my porn addiction, behaviours and coping mechanisms later in life.

I've dealt with the abuse years ago and came to terms with it for what it was, and sorta figured that was the end of it. The recent revelations linking it to my porn problems too just go to show the long lasting effects this sort of abuse does have and why it shouldn't be laughed off as "yeah cool, my hot older teacher abused me".

(Btw.. wasn't a teacher with me, nor really that much older but the effects are the same. Female in position of power over unsuspecting boy.)

  7. You refuse to listen to the testimonies of the actual GUYS who have had this happen to them, and say you're completely wrong. This has nothing to do with me being a guy or not. It has to do with listening to the victims and their own experiences.

But in response to your question, clearly you aren't going to be learning anything anytime soon.

  8. Exactly. There is soooo much scientific and psychological evidence to back this up. Disagreeing with this would just be stupid. This is highly proven.

  9. I don't really care about being kind to people who don't give a crap about rape victims. Not gonna apologize for being a bit "argumentative."

In regards to the rest of your post, I'm sorry that happened to you and thank you for sharing your experience.

  10. No fact begins with, "I think..." That's an opinion.

I was sexually abused by an older female when I was young. That, coupled with being exposed to pornography at a young age, caused great difficulty for me in developing relationships with women. It haunts me even to this day.

You are wrong. Abuse is abuse. Please stop trying to defend the indefensible.

The following myth must be overcome:

A man is physically able to forcibly penetrate a woman against her will. A forced penetration amounts to rape/molestation.

However, to penetrate a woman, the man (or boy in this scenario) must be aroused. If the guy is aroused, then the sexual act is not against his will; hence no rape/molestation.

Overall the idea that arousal always equals consent is an extremely dangerous one.

  14. Sorry to say it harsh, but this is bullshit. First of all just because I am aroused does not mean I give consent, this generalization is dangerous because here a smart lawyer can turn the story in way that you can't even imagine, also for rape perpetrated by men, but most important you don't even need to be aroused to have an erection, it is a natural consequence of stimolation, a man can even have an erection up to 3 hours after his death, so necrophilia is ok if in the first 3 hours after death?

P.s. Even women during rape can unvoluntary get wet, that's why many of them feel guilty, because they can't accept it is a natural answer of the body, and they think they enjoyed it and deserved it, but they don't.
No Woman deserve rape, and no men too.

So as stated by my friend before me, pay attention to your generalization, they can harm people.

  15. I think the person you quoted was saying that idea is harmful... he said the following is a myth that needs to be overcome. He's not saying the idea he stated is a good one.

  16. I think you're right, I got tricked by "however", like the myth was only the first sentence and with however he had started a brand new sentence.
    My bad.

    I called it a myth @fg4795 .

Review the entire thread and you can see posts consistent with this myth:

He must have enjoyed it, so what's the problem?

As you said, people posting bullshit.

those dumbasses say things like that because they’re scared to take any kind of initiative with women and this is the only time they hear about a woman making the first move (translation: doing all the work for them)

Oh, and society views men as machines and has for generations. Doesn’t surprise me that a few men might believe it.
