I have been trying to start a streak for a while, but have never really been able to go too far. The longest streak i've been able to go ever since i've started masturbating is a week, and only because I was at a camp with no phone or internet access at all. With access to the internet the longest streak I remember is about 5 days, but I am determined to get ATLEAST a week streak. I need some tips to help me get through it though.

  2. 1 - Keep busy
2 - Have a backup plan for if you feel tempted
3 - Watch some Youtube videos about over coming addiction
    4 - Post here daily
5 - Have a motivating factor that you can remind yourself of
6 - Get outside or be around other people more

Quit and avoid all sexual stimuli for at least 4-5 days. You know what you look up that gets you worked up. Avoid it at all costs because it leads to a slippery slope scenario of your mind bargaining why you should just fap again because it felt good and you don’t have a streak going yet. Not only porn, social media sites like Instagram and twitter that are known to have sexual content.

Minimize internet use as much as you can. If your free during the day keep the computer off and find other things to do. Video games , read, watch movies, hell maybe find something on television that you can sink your teeth into.

If you do get on the internet , don’t go where you don’t need to be. You don’t need to look up lewd content to check your email or google search a phone number. If you find yourself intentionally going off to these unrelated areas of the internet out of habit, recognize it and fight it.

Basically just don’t feed the little monster in you that’s begging for power over you. It may hurt at first. You may writhe about, and feel you’re denying yourself. Fight through it. It’ll die off once you starve it, but feeding it only makes it stronger and reinforces the habit you’re trying to kick.

  4. I fell down the first few days myself, finding it difficult to get a streak going. And this is after having some successful streaks, one over a year! So I count hours for the first 24, and then again until I get to two or three. I set goals of a week and then a month. This often helps me find my way back. I make the mistake that Gambler refers to above: I feed the monster and then wonder where I went wrong! I am back.
