    Hello amigos

I'm sure you know what's been going on in the world these days; Corona Virus.
Many authorities have already started to taking serious measures in order to keep people safe and healthy and one of the very first precautions was the idea of quarantine.

Well I'm not a fan of this but that's where we are.

This means we're gonna have to stay at home till god knows when and I thought for many of us this means a challenging period as staying at home and lacking social life leads to boredom and we all know where it can take us. During my nofap journey one of the most important lessons that I learned was that I had to try to maximize the amount of time that I was spending outside since I was only watching porn at home.

Maybe this thread can help you stay dedicated throughout the Corona situation, feel free to share your defense tactics against pmo and whatever you feel the need to share.

    Stay safe and stay dedicated.

For me it's really reminded me of what's truly important in life. Things I would take for granted are now much more highly valued: resilience, strength, character.

I've always been a loner but recently I've had the blessing and support of people who are inspiring me with resilience, character, and strength, which in turn helps me to support people in my life right now.

I cannot believe I'm saying this but I have peace of mind this morning. Whatever happens I feel like things will be just fine.

    Stay healthy All.

I'm thinking of historical events. Even in times of war, communities can come away with a lot of resilience and growth. It seems sometimes the most difficult times in life can also be the most beneficial in the long run.

Scientists in Australia have recently found that a person with a healthy immune system can (and have) recovered from corona in 3 days. There are also treatments that have completely erased the disease from affected patients, however trials are needed and time must pass before these may be widely used. So there's some practical silver lining.

Personally my university has recently stopped classes, and I've already quit my gym and slowed down on socialising.

For the obvious threat of an indoors 'lazy' lifestyle, I think we need to keep a balanced outlook in practice for the next few weeks/months.

Try to get outside regularly, even if it's just in the back garden. Keep in contact with friends and family and where safe the rest of the community. And please remember to enjoy the small things, enjoy making a new recipe or reading a book you may have put off for a while.

They say stress is one of the things that can bring your immune system down, so above all please take it day-by-day and know that a lot of this is just our natural reaction to a potential danger.

Fapping also brings your immune system down (not counting all the negative emotions afterwards), so we need to stay away from PMO especially now

Well, try to do different things and not sit behind your tv or laptop the whole day.
Read a book, clean the house, change the house settings, sit in the garden, think about life, take care of your animals, bake a cake, listen to some music, do siesta's and ect ect. If you can, go out of the house and just walk around or go running.

I think we can use it as an opportunity to evaluate our life, because in rythme work-home-work we can forget what we want/choose as the main course of our life. So more time for meditation, reading, thinking, analyzing.

Also we can exercise a lot at home easily (people do sports locked up in solitary confinement in prison, lol)

  8. Thank you Metis07,
you make an excellent point about the poor souls in solitary confinement. We must remain strong and connected with NoFap.
In such troubled times PMO seems alluring. But the most deadly poisons have beautiful leaves and flowers. We can't let our guard down! Now is the time for our ideals of purity, decency etc to shine forth.
We must all strive to be the best versions of ourselves. Perhaps now is the time to make ourselves anew? March, in the northern hemisphere at least, is seen as an astringent month.
We could, if we have the audacity, finally rid ourselves of the desire for porn. Why not my friends? I am no linguist but I believe the Chinese language can guide us here. Unless I am much mistaken , in Chinese, the symbol for danger and opportunity is the same!

  9. The universe is conspiring against us. Maybe we need to become a little scared once in a while to go deeper.

@Metis07 I was thinking of a similar thing today, being taken out of our routine can be a good thing.

Usually I'm rationalising why I shouldn't fap. E.g. "I have class on Monday, no way I can fap this weekend". But now I don't have that class, in fact most in-person commitments are suddenly gone.

And while this seems dangerous on the surface, I also see it as an opportunity to finally put my skills to the test properly!

Less people will see our progress face-to-face, so the responsibility and accountability is on ourselves to keep progressing during this time.

It's a challenge because we have both less activities in the day and less outdoors, so less distraction.
I find it helpful to use things that won't include and sexual references.
Like getting involved with music. Or playing games. Or doing things in the house or the garden.
    And exercising

I built my whole gym routine on Prison Workout motivation. And guess what, I'm much more willing to pump it up.
Looks like sometimes you can do more and be more effective when you don't have everything at hand.

Sure, I am not a bodybuilder, but I do sports and have visited several gyms in my city. The real beasts generally were at the basement type ‘old school’ gym, nothing special

King777 Thank you for this post and idea. I was also not a fan of the isolating like everyone else. But sort of like someone said in a comment here, I’m using this opportunity to strengthen the hell out of everything I can during this period. Honestly I wasn’t doing very well the months leading up to the outbreak. But about 2 weeks ago I decided I am not going to get sick and will do everything in my power to strengthen my immune system and my body. And in the back of my head I knew getting in good shape again would give me a good focus while there’s nothing to do. Anyway I just wanted to share a list of things I’m doing that are really helping me. Some may be too corny for some but don’t knock it til you try it.
    1. Obviously no pmo hard mode.
    2. Rarely any social media.
    3. Intermittent fasting 16/8 split everyday. Break the fast with a green smoothie ( bananas, blueberries, spinach, peanut butter, chocolate almond milk, cacao powder(nootropic) amla powder (great for skin and immune system) eat as much clean protein the rest of the day as possible, lean meat. Keep calories reasonable. Also drink a lot of water during fasting period to deal with hunger pangs very good for daily detox. As well as psyllium husk at night so you have a smooth morning if you know what I mean. I also take zinc and a probiotic.
    4. Gratitude practice. Google it. Read about it. Try it. Staves off a lot of unwanted moods which lead to problems. Better the mood the more productive you are, even if you’re high all day like me ‍.
    5. I started a 5 minute push-up challenge with some friends and update results on a google doc so we can see progress. It’s how ever many you can do in 5 mins, for however long this quarantine shit will go on for lol. Day 1 I got 73, today day 7 I got 111. Yea boiiii.
    6. I also do a full body workout with no equipment on YouTube. There’s a million videos. I’m still messing with my workout routine but I try to redline everyday whatever it is. Without hurting myself.

I wish I had a way to make money from home, that is a missing link but I feel like my sanity has stayed intact because of these routines and am pretty damn confident I can’t keep it up! I know I’ll have harder days but I’m 8 days in to the nofap part of it and just wanted to share what was helping. Hope everyone stays safe, healthy, and strong .

I've been doing exercises, reading book, playing instrument and meditating mostly in home for 3 months before, i'm lucky because my habit can be done in home so with the corona virus and quarantine i still can keep my habit.

The problem is how you want to put your dopamine release, because the social distancing and my crave for socializing i use social media so much and it's been triggering me to mo because seeing girl in hot bikini, relapse after 2 months of pmo. that's the challenge and i will try again!

I went off track a week ago, but found a routine made this week more productive while alleviating stress.

Right now I'm writing a 'to do list' each night for the next day, giving me an easy way to get started on a task. Most days I don't even get it all ticked off but it's still helping me fill the hours without social media or tv.

Ironically I'm going outside more because of this epidemic. Because the back garden is the most convenient way to be amongst nature, I'm out there getting fresh air and sunshine a lot more often than I would commuting to study or the shops in normal routine.

Social distancing is difficult, no getting around that I think. Online chat or phone calls will help. But I do think this is just a challenging time, and we're all going to come out of this with a greater appreciation for real human interactions!

Amigos, I've experienced one of those epic moments once I read your posts here, you brought my motivation and resistance levels back to the required state in order to win this fight against the PMO monster now equipped with his new corona bio-weapon.
I'm so grateful for this community.

I ought to tell you, I want to confess this. Being stuck at home in a city where I don't really appreciate much I've been smashed by the pmo monster for the last 2 months. Plus I broke up with my girl and Im single now. Thanks to the quarantine I couldn't even take the "Fuck it, I'm a free man now; let the wolf hunt" trips at night to forget about the past and motivate myself for new beginnings (I'm sure you amigos know how significant and essential that is after a breakup). The result of this destruction was 2 times pmo on average per week, which is far from my goals. I've had better accomplishments in the past. Because I feel depressed, bored and desperate for the future Im going down now.

And I'm having exactly the same problem. I had list of golden rules which made me reach my nofap goals once. Some of you might came across in this forum but I wanted share it here one more time:

    1) Accept this. You are in a battle. This is challenging and you have a problem: Masturbation addiction/Porn addiction. Say it, accept it. This is not the summary of the story. This fact is only the beginning of it; the reason. Each moment you hesitate to accept this, or even worse, denying it, the "horny" beast of the labyrinth is gonna destroy you. So stand up and keep your eyes open, grab your sword. It's time to fight.

    2) Get Busy Being Happy.Your mood and overall serenity is the source of your strength. Whenever you feel low or unhappy, you're one step closer to fail. So, keep doing what you really like. Have a schedule. Get shit done. Get busy. Don't go to the places where you don't feel you belong. Stay away from negative people. Those faces are and places are toxic and it's killing you slowly, and once your mind and body get poisoned, you'll start to limp, then fall and the Minotaur will find you on your knees; you're an easy prey.

    3) Leave Your House. Your house is the devils pit. Leave your house as soon as you wake up. How many times you remember masturbating outside or in public places. Those places are your safe spots where the beast almost can never approach, those are your castles, so be wise and stay wherever you are safe.

    4) Don't Play With Fire. No wifi and electronic devices inside the house. Minotaur likes to attack with those. These are his weapons. Oh, you hear the voice "But hey, let's be honest, you can not survive these days without wifi and your smart phone, you really don't have to go to harsh on yourself." This is Minotaur speaking; casting a spell on you. Don't listen. You need internet? Get your laptop and find a café. That simple. By this you're not going harsh on yourself, instead, you're going medieval on your horny enemy.

    5) You're Not Alone. Gods are watching. And they are counting on you. They'll help you if you ask for it. So don't be afraid. You've got what it takes.

    6) Never Look Back. Leave the past behind. All those heartbreaks, bitches that did you wrong, mistakes, failures or deceptions of the past, desire to take revenge etc. It doesn't mean that they were worthless milestones on your journey, no they were damn important and fateful. But you've got over them. They're are over and don't exist anymore. The only place that they can ever exist, in comparison with the world is that relatively smaller place inside your skull (which means your heart is actually free of them too) and you are (and must be) in charge of your own mind. And again, that is the main point of being a fapstronaut; being able to control and mastering yourself.

    7) Don't Count The Days, Make The Days Count. Do not to count the days of your streak you left behind, it makes it harder and slowly convinces your brain that you've been suffering or resisting for so long. No matter how strong it is, no castle can stay besieged forever. So the best solution for that is to live the life of a fapstronaut and perform its practices day to day. No need to count your streak, nor you have to set a finish line like 30,60 90 days.
    8) Focus. Sharpen your focus and stay dedicated to your life's mission. Focusing also require elimination of the distractions. Minotaur will keep providing those distractions; they can be sweet like pretty women or annoying like unwanted incidents or jerks.
    9) Know Yourself. Be who you are, fight like you are. Love like you are. Work like you are. Win like you are.

So, when the conditions were normal, it was relatively easier to follow these rules in our the daily life. However, it is not possible for us to follow some rules, like rule #2 Get Busy Living as there is nothing much to do at home all the time; rule #3 Leave Your House for obvious reasons and rule #4 Don't Play With Fire for it is extremely hard these days to avoid social media and tv shows/movies/series Youtube etc (boobs, asses, duck faces, naked sex dolls anything on display that I watch god dammit!)

Long story short my previous weapons do not work this time. And I don't want to return back to the dark days of pmo. Now that Im single + no social life = can't have sex is making me feel less confident and hopeful.

Looks like we need each other more than ever and in times like this, you once again gave me hope and made me believe in myself. And it's especially these times that our collective force is much more effective.

This, my friends should be the essential of our goal.

From this day on, I'll try for 10days spartan mode which means I try to follow my prison workout routine every single day. No rest day. If I make it, I'll let you know. 10 days doesn't seem that much but trust me, I know it's going to be harder for me than my toughest streak yet as I never trained myself to fight in conditions like this.

Once again I'm so grateful for this community.

Stay tuned and stay safe amigos.
