I'm 2 weeks in and I've sort of lost the urge and I could see myself carrying on with this indefinitely. Around 10 days I was thinking about sex a lot, though? I feel less energetic though it kind of just feels normal now.

That's the flatline for ya! It's easiest during the flatline, to be honest. It's the period before and after the flatline where the urges are intense!

Never be overconfident with lust. It might return anytime. That is my personal advice. Overconfidence has caused many a life-long celibate to fall, so stay focused and do not cheer too soon. I am not trying to sound discouraging, but merely realistic. I hope that my advice is of any help, and of course I hope it stays like this, but I do not count on it. Vigilance is a must, especially if you want to stay chaste for a longer period of time. That is also what the masters say.

I'm just doing this is an experiment. It's not something I'm thinking of making long term. I haven't got erectile dysfunction or a desensitization to porn, but I am interested in possible benefits like extra energy so I'm testing it out. I heard that 60 days of no porn/masturbation gives a pretty good idea of what a 'reboot' is like? I might aim for that. And you all were right, it's back today haha.

It is good to try new things. I have observed that celibacy definitely increases concentration, but it is tempting to take the gains from celibacy for granted, or even not to notice them at all. The powers gained from celibacy increase gradually, and so one may not become conscious of these benefits at all. Some changes might at first be too subtle for the mind to notice, especially over a longer period of time. Every week, even every day, there might be a small gain, and these small gains will eventually accumulate. Patience is important. I love celibacy, because it gives me freedom. I have learned to devote myself to the love of celibacy and to develop a strong desire to continuously seek liberation. I live as a monk, and I have never regretted my choice of lifestyle. It gives me happiness every single day, even if I have relapses every now and then. I take the good with the bad. The longer I am celibate, the happier I am. If I relapse, I will think about what I have achieved by being celibate for many weeks or days. I love celibacy more than I am annoyed with the relapses. I know that love is a stronger emotion to build on than hatred.

It's 17 days now and it's completely gone. Like I opened up some porn just to see if everything is working still, and nope no real interest. This is weird as?

one nofap rule is that you NEVER TEST whether you still have libido by looking at porn or fantasizing. Don't ruin your body's recovery period by confusing it.

Well, I'm not doing this for the conventional reasons. I haven't become desensitised to pornography, have the death grip thing, or do it multiple times a day/everyday. I'm doing this just to see how long I can not masturbate and what that will feel like.

Would be happy if you'd experienced a long time without PMO though. Seeing the other side of the spectrum (celibate people) might change your mind. Abstinence from sexual release they say is empowering
