This makes it obvious as to why there has been such a huge rise in mental problems in the last 20 years. Especially a huge rise in mental health problems in children in the last 20 years.

What has changed so much in the last 20 years that could cause such a rise in mental health problems? There was fast food, junk food, bad diets and unhealthy lifestyles 20 years ago. There was drugs and alcohol 20 years ago.

The answer is obvious. Technology and the internet has drastically changed in the last 20 years.

That was excellent @skaterdrew , thank you! I fully agree with your view on the rise of mental illnesses and internet addictions.

Here is some extra content to complement on this same topic.

You'd actually think that blocking dopamine would actually be effective in treating addictions.

Among its many uses, a dopamine antagonist can treat conditions resulting from drug abuse through the blocking of dopamine receptors and the inhibiting of the reuptake of dopamine by these receptors.

So taking something like that for a while does sound like it would be effective at treating many different addictions. But I am not sure how safe it would be, how much damage it could cause, how you would exactly feel on a drug like this, or what would happen after you stopped taking the drug ext. Would cravings for the addiction come back stronger than ever once you stopped taking the drug?

But yeah without a doubt it looks like it would actually be very effective at treating addictions.
