Insecurities and Panic, how to get rid of the consequences of partners addiction?

I really am starting to believe, many do not want to even know the truth. I think they are going to close their eyes and wish it away.

 

Because it's easier.

People like comfort and often fear the unknown, especially when a long term relationship is at risk.
How will life go on without him/ her?
How will i deal with the loneliness?
Will i ever find someone like him/her?

And in extreme cases:
What about the children, the house and what will friends and family think if i do such a selfish thing.

Problem here is that it's not the other person's job to make us happy.
That's our own job.
Our partner is with us because he or she is an addition to our life. Something to make it better.
He or she can never be a necessity.

Thinking someone else is necessary for our own happiness is actually an unhealthy thinking pattern and stops us from setting healthy boundaries, just out of fear of loss.

But all it does is create a prison.
