Does porn have any benefits?

I personally think the negatives outweigh the benefits.

So some benefits I could see from porn are it can massivley relieve stress in the short term. So when your stressed out your mind PMOing in the short term can massivley reduce your stress. It can take your mind off your worries. But then again so can alcohol and other drugs. Maybe another benefit is it can reduce boredom. But then again alcohol and drugs can do that also.

I think a guy that PMO's very occasionally, like does it for 5-10 minutes a few times a week and this is how they have more or less always used it. In my opinion someone like this probably won't experience much negative effects. But they might still experience some.

Where as edging and binging on PMO in my opinion is just devastating. I think this is what has caused the serious addiction and sexual problems in a lot of porn users. They have edged and binged on it for years.

I forgot to mention that I class all artificial sexual stimulation as porn. So that's anything artificial that sexually arouses you. But it's usually on the internet because of the format we have on the internet today

All guys on this site should class anything artifical that they find sexually arousing as porn. So sexy social media images of hotties, that's porn.

I think some guys on this don't think they're on porn when they're sexually aroused looking at things like this or masturbating to things like this.

If it's artificial and sexually arouses you it's porn.

But it is much worse on the internet, on a format where you're able to search as much new content as you want, and instantly get it. It causes guys to keep searching, searching, and searching. Something new constantly, masturbate to this for a second, flick on to something else, masturbate to that for a few minutes, search something else, go back to what I was previously masturbating to and masturbate to that again, search a new porn video, masturbate to that for a 10 minutes, then search new social media images/videos of hotties, masturbate to them, then search something else to masturbate to. Flicking about loads of different tabs. Sound familiar?

This is the behavoir of a lot of guys for literally an hour or hours before they ejaculate. It's edging and binging on a lot of different content online

This is very damaging. It is the main problem actually. Some guys do this all day, most of the day, or every other day.

This format didn't exist before the millennium, but particuarly 2006 is when it really took off. This constant being able to search and get something new constantly to ths extent didn't exist before 2006.

 

Porn is a drug. All drugs have no benefits. If you call brain damage by way of mood disorder, fatigue, sexual issues, body aches and pains, headaches, lack of motivation, lack of interest in anything... etc, benefits.. exactly

I would agree with most. Porn has the same benefits of alcohol and drugs. Usually minus the socializing...

I use meditation and yoga. Now I try to control my urges by yoga and meditation.
I do it every to every other day.

It has some serious benefits.

Maybe. But most crime is 'petty' crime, committed by people too lazy, unmotivated or too unfortunate to get a decent job. or people who are funding an addiction.

I wouldn't swear to it, but I think porn production still has ties to the mafia and other criminal organisations. It certainly used to.
