Anyone else struggle with unwanted lingerie or women's clothing ads? Any tips?

Discussion in 'Rebooting - Porn Addiction Recovery' started by +TenPercent, Jun 8, 2018.

  1. There are two parts to this (possibly related) so bear with me:
    1. I get women's clothing ads on my computer and my phone. Even if I delete my history. Even if I click the little box in the corner and say "No Thank You" or "Please show me something different", they keep coming up. Occasionally, if I am really persistent and keep closing them out, it will start showing me something different . . . for awhile. But then women's clothing ads come back up.
    • This can be kind of embarrassing if I'm using my computer in a public place or if I'm trying to show someone something on my computer!
    • I read the news using the BBC news app and can't read a single article without having to see women's clothing ads.
    • Mostly it's the embarrassment factor, but sometimes those ads are hella sexy and then I'm tempted to click on them . . . which would only trigger Big Data out there to send me more of the same!
    2. I get lingerie ads with Groupon. I have gotten some good deals off of Groupon so I don't want to close it down. I think one time there was an ad for panties and the model's butt looked really nice so I clicked on it to take a better look.

You probably already know where that one goes. It started sending me more of the same. Sometimes I'll get one for shaving accessories or something else normal, scroll down and . . . panties. There they are again. One time out of 5 I can resist, maybe six . . . then I cave, click on it and just make it worse!
Today I got one for bras. Not interested in that. But clicked on the damn thing anyway and there were half a dozen more "deals", every last one of them being for lingerie and one outfit that was completely see through!

So I clicked on it

    Ugh. Any suggestions?

There is one Porn blocker software that i found in this forum, but i dont remember it , go try search that..

Anyway its supper efective for me, i try to search some images on google (u know what i means) and its only show the face of it. open some website and its continue blocks lot of ads or any P material. Give it a try, i will tell you the name if i remmbered it

  3. Update: Last night I looked at an office supply website in search of a personal planner and put a few things in my cart, but ended up buying the planner on Amazon.
Then, today I'm looking at my email (no groupon lingerie ads so far today) and the advertising banner that popped up on the side was for that office supply website - highlighting all the items that I had looked at last night.
Perhaps that is one solution. Go to lots of online retailers (that don't sell lingerie, women's clothing or anything triggering), click on things that you like, put them in your "shopping cart" and then close the site without buying them!

I really recommend AdBlock - it's a free piece of software that operates as a chrome extension and completely blocks all ads, including your normal run-of-the-mill ads and even ads that precede YouTube videos. Pretty sure you can get it on your phone too, but I use it on my PC. If ads are your problem, check that out!

The best way is to clean cookies! It will help you, believe me. I had the same situation, my wife used my laptop and because of this was appearing a lot of ads related to this theme. That disturbs a lot. So, I cleaned all browser’s cookie and all this shit disappeared. By the way, why you have these ads?;) you’re looking on women lingeries? Women Sexy Lingeries is very hot! I totally understand you, but I love it only on my wife. So, try to clear all cookies ever, not just an hour or less and it will disappear!

Brother just remove all the unwanted extension from your browser, and check you notification setting from browser , remove all unwanted application software which is unknown and not usable from setting i.e control pannel in windows or if Mac directly move that app to trash.

I think you should either get an ad locker ot try going to your Google settings and erasing all history/activity. Most ads are from Google and come from your viewing habits. Doing that should reset your ads so they're not based of your viewing habits.
