I have a Samsung, so I have Android as OS.
I use two apps to block every porn-related material:
    • Truple Web Filter (free version);
    • AppBlock (premium version, but the basic version is fine too).
Truple Web filter provides a VPN which prevents you to search and see everything related to P; it's really efficient, but it's really easy to switch off too. For 50 $ at year you can have the premium version and activating a special lock, but, if you're not going to pay, you could combine the action of Truple with Appblock. So, you lock Truple with App Block: you choose a password (or you make a friend of you choose a password for you, as I've done and I'd recommended) and then you lock the VPN.

Remember, however: VPNs and all the applications designed to filter P material are only instruments that will make it easier for you to reboot, but they aren't the ultimate solution to your addiction; you must be patient, build your anti-porn routine and technics and maintain it over time, inevitably relapsing a couple of times.

Thanks for this great info. I'm on Windows, so I just installed Forticlient. It seems to be working, but all of my chrome tabs are taking a long time to load anytime I go to a site. Do you know how I could fix that?

Thanks a lot for sharing this. I'll download Truple Web Filter to test it, then I'll add it to the list.
If you use AppBlock, you'll have to lock Settings, Is that correct?

    Are you using version 6.02?
Have you checked the instructions in the post? https://www.flickr.com/photos/183874060@N08/albums/72157710598034653
You could try uninstalling it then reinstalling and unchecking all the checkboxes except "Web filter".
If it's still slow. Download the latest version of forticlient:https://filestore.fortinet.com/forticlient/downloads/FortiClientOnlineInstaller_6.0.exe
But you'll have to disable forticlient's safe search as the latest version makes youtube useless:

Ok I tried the newest version, but same problem. As soon as I disable web filtering, everything works, but when it's on, everything is just slow, or says it can't connect. Almost all sites, facebook, youtube, nfl etc. At least a 2 minute wait to load.

Nate, I have contacted fortiguard Web filter email yesterday asking them about your problem. They said they can't help lol. They told me to reach out to the TAC support, which only answers those who pay for fortiguard.
Here's a screenshot from my mail.

I have no problems with forticlient, I have tried it on windows 10, windows 7 64 bit, OS X High sierra.
Sorry I couldn't help. I have no idea why this is happening for you.

I FIGURED IT OUT. I had to uninstall my ESET security software, they must have been clashing, or it was blocking the VPN. Keep in mind for future people, because I think Forticlient replaces the antivirus right?

I am so excited to lock this shit down.

You must check "antivirus" while installing Forticlient if you want the antivirus feature. It's not recommended that you leave your device unprotected after you've uninstalled eset antivirus. You could reinstall forticlient and check "antivirus" if you want. I am using windows defender, the default antivirus for windows 10 and it causes no problems with forticlient.
    Hell yeah!!

I edited the main post, saying that it might not work well with other antivirues.

Thanks. This is a very valuable thread, because it's hard to find the best ways to lock down a pc/phone. I searched for weeks to no avail.

I am trying to get my hands on an android phone to test the app that you told me about as I don't own one at the moment.
We could beat porn together. So if you find anything useful, please share it.

    I definitely will.

And yes the Detoxify app is fantastic. They are constantly updating to close holes based on user feedback, and very passionate about what they do. They are working on a pc version also, but it's not out yet.

    Thank you for your efforts.
