Knowing what you are up against is always a huge advantage when tackling a problem or in this case an addiction. You can say 'I'll quit' but how many people manage to do it as easy as that? After failing several times to quit for good I decided to really question my relationship with porn and find out why I was so obsessed with it. The science behind it has probably been posted on this forum 100 times so I won’t repeat it but understanding it is definitely half of the battle. I suggest anyone who is seriously trying to quit do the research, it’s worth it.

So now you understand what is going on and why you need to quit, the urges however have yet to subside. Even with all of the knowledge and insight you are still relapsing to the point where you aren’t really making any progress. How do you break the cycle? The urges are always going to be there, they are memories and unfortunately memories can’t be erased. It is up to you and you alone to figure out a way to live with them. Eventually it will become a force of habit to resist the temptation to Fap but until then you need to have something in place, a mental barrier if you like, to stop yourself from diving head first down the rabbit hole again. Here’s what I have become to realize over the last few months or so:

The porn industry is evil. There’s not a scrap of good that comes from it and those who profit from it are the scum of the earth. Every time you watch porn for free online you are funding these companies through advertisements even if you skip them. Think about it, Pornhub for example generates millions every year through paid ad’s and seemingly do nothing. It’s free, you can skip the ad’s, how are they making money?? We are slaves to the porn sites, unknowingly working for them while poisoning our minds and becoming low value men with poor mental health. It’s messed up.

Now let’s take a look at the ones who make this all possible, the producers, the ‘talent’ etc. These women or in some cases teenage girls we are led to believe are doing this because they are horny AF and like being exploited on camera are often coerced, abused or even drugged before they make these videos. I’ve read stories of girls being picked up at 16/17 year old parties by guys in there late 20’s who give them alcohol and talk them into making sex videos, telling them they can make a lot of money without their parents finding out. Then there’s the ones who come from broken families who sometimes get approached when they are 13/14 and don’t know any better. There have been several reports of videos being removed from porn sites that were deemed rape and or underage content yet they still continue to operate for free. With no age restrictions.

Want proof? Well, there’s a case still going on now I believe involving the company known as GirlsDoPorn in which the 3 owners of the company are being charged with sex trafficking, 2 of which are standing trail the other fled the country and is on the run. Aside from those charges, almost every girl that worked for them has came forward saying that their videos were never meant to be shown online. They were told that they would only be distributed to private clients on DVD. Now I have my own opinions on this, mostly that the videos would have ended up online anyway through torrent sites and that the girls who done it for quick cash willing accepted to have sex on video and be paid to do so. I think that these girls deserve some backlash but since this all surfaced, careers have ended, relationships have been permanently scarred and ultimately lives have been ruined so I can’t exactly be happy about that.

**WARNING! The following paragraph may contain triggers, please do not proceed to the next part if you feel you are unable to read anything about sex or the type of stuff you watch!

I’d now like to bring up the content that we watch nowadays and how unrealistic it is in most cases. To a porn addict, a normal guy on girl video isn’t going to be enough, every addict has a specific genre that stimulates them the most and becomes somewhat of a fixation. Did you know that the most searched for genres on porn sites are ‘teen’ and ‘young’? Most addicts crave more extreme content after years of exposure and like to see girl’s being ‘punished’ or in other words abused by men twice their size and age. Some videos cut out the tears and screams, others purposely leave them in to pleasure the sick minded individuals that masturbate to this vile content… us. Anal sex, spitting, slapping, cum on face… None of this happens in every day sex. If you meet or have met a girl who is into this stuff it should be a major red flag, not a turn on. It says she has issues, perhaps also porn related or maybe something a lot more sinister that started when she was too young to understand it. Would you want to have kids with someone who asks you to put it in her mouth after it’s been up her ass? How the hell did we get to this point as a society?? This needs to stop, now!

Most of us are on lock down right now being forced to stay at home, this is obviously making nofap very difficult for some. Anyone with mental health problems in general will be suffering in some way shape or form. You can’t let this be the reason you fall off the wagon, in fact you’re being given an opportunity to reset and reboot without the hassle of having to go to work, instead being able to manage your time any way you want. The government want you to watch porn and be a mental wreck so you are more easily controlled. The uneducated, the plain stupid or mentally ill are the easiest to manipulate and cast aside. Imagine for a second that you work for the government and you were asked to look into yourself and write a report. What would your report sound like? ‘Serial porn addict, deteriorating mental health, no ambition or goals in life, half asses everything, minimal threat to society, moderate threat to self and potential suicide victim in years to come’.

Lastly, if none of the above has hit home then consider this. If you are single and addicted to porn, you will NEVER have a healthy relationship with a woman. EVER. All the videos you watch of perfect looking girls isn’t a true reflection on women you meet in the real world. It raises your standards to an unrealistic level and even if you do settle for someone on your level you will struggle to enjoy the intimacy as your brain will be craving higher levels of beauty. This is why men experience PIED, the brain is saying ‘I’m bored of this one, show me another’ when the reality is you are with one girl and can’t simply click your fingers for her to become somebody else or to be wearing different underwear or something. I realized my brain was tuned this way last year when I was in bed with a gorgeous woman and couldn’t stay hard. I had to think of someone else to continue. How pathetic.

If you can honestly read this and Fap later on or tomorrow then you aren't ready to quit and need to do some soul searching before you can break this habit.

  2. Thanks for the whole post but especially for these 2 things above! I will save this for my notes, so I can read this when I have to reassure myself that I am on the good path.
