    Hello fellow fighters! [IMG]
I have an issue that I'd like advice on. Among other things, I keep two counters, one of the days since my last relapse and one of the days since my last misstep (clicking a lingerie ad, ogling girls, masturbation etc). But I have a case in which I don't know whether to reset the second counter or not.
As is normal, I have sexual dreams now and then. If I have them in the middle of the night, I'll usually have orgasm while dreaming and then wake up. But if I have them in the morning, I am often waking up before orgasm. When this happens, sometimes I get up and start my day, but more often I start moving up and down in the bed (prone masturbation), usually reaching orgasm but sometimes stopping early if it takes a while.
Now, I think this is preventable, and should be prevented. I used to think that it was no problem, and that during a wet dream I would always do prone masturbation, even if I was fast asleep. However, I recently read about prone masturbation being dangerous, and considering that I find it unlikely that your body would do it on its own accord while asleep. [IMG] So in that case it would be caused by myself, right?
But for example this morning, I do not recall making a decision to start prone masturbation. [IMG] I was dreaming about edging to p subs, and I think that while I was still dreaming I was already doing prone masturbation, although it's hard to say because well, it's hard to observe what's going on while you're at least half asleep. Now, I would like to prevent this if possible, and to that end it makes sense to reset my counter that counts the days since my last misstep. However, it also seems a bit unfair to do so, as I'm not sure how much I could've done about it, and it's actually been several days since I last made a misstep while awake.

What do you think? And does anyone recognise this issue? Prone masturbation seems to be rare as is—which I do find strange, as to me, prone masturbation seems more natural and easy to discover than manual masturbation—and most people would probably orgasm before waking up anyway, but I'm a light sleeper.
Replies are appreciated, as I'm not sure whether to reset the second counter or not, now. [IMG]

  2. If you want to be true to yourself. Reset it. However it is not a big problem if you do not. After all nobody is perfect.

After a reply within a minute, I had expected a lot more replies after 4 hours. [IMG] If I don't get another reply soon, I will go with resetting the second counter this time. I can change policy later, but I'm hoping to find a way to prevent this from happening again. [IMG]

  4. In my opinion it's up to you whether or not you reset your counter.

Probabaly best to avoid conscious prone masturbation though!

Not much you can do about unconscious prone masturbation I guess, although you could pay attention to what underwear you're wearing in bed. In my early days of NoFap I threw out some underwear that maybe encouraged this kind of thing because of the material, tightness and so on.

Can anyone confirm whether, in wet dreams while you are asleep, your body stays still or not? If this is the case, then I'd bet that prone masturbation can always be prevented. Although of course there's such a thing as sleep walking... I've never heard of sleep masturbating, but it might be a thing? [IMG]
