Did anyone of you tried the Anti Dopamine Porn Blocker VPN?

I know it’s a bit late but DO NOT USE ANTI DOPAMINE’S VPN. It is effective but they have absolutely no customer service. Once you’re signed up they will just keep charging your card and never respond to any email or message for troubleshooting help. Just a guy trying to make a quick buck please beware of this service.

 

I can't say anything about the vpn porn blocker. But in my opinion the two best porn blockers would either be pluckeye or qustudios.

 

I use CovenantEyes, you have to pay yes, its $160/yr which is just a little over $13/month, which is honestly a good deal when it comes to helping against the addiction. Most people spend more on alcohol per month. Anyway, this is a good service because they have great customer service first of all, any and all sorts of issues you have they'll gladly assist. They have it for Mac, Windows, Androids, iPhones you name it. Just make sure to keep your version updated otherwise the service might not always work. As far as the functionality of the program itself, it really does block any and all porn and suggested websites. I have found a lot of ways over the years to sabotage myself around it even when the blocker is on, don't do this. You'll just hinder the progress and things will be worse.

I'll end with this. I wouldn't recommend using Blockers indefinitely. I have come to the position of if you want to use the blockers to help the fight against porn addiction *in the beginning* to where you have a solid ground with your recovery, great. But here's why I say not forever...It's because in your mind you eventually have to realize you can't fully "hide" from porn forever. you eventually have to confront the fact that as an adult, you can and will have access to it at some point and having the blocker on indefinitely sort of conditions your mind to think "i'm strong *because* I have the blocker on", even if you don't consciously think that. Your subconscious knows it. So i've just started the 30-day challenge days ago, so of course I have the blocker on and plan to until I believe my brain has basically rewired from the anticipated dopamine hit that it wants when the thought of porn hits, cause in the beginning of recovery, the want will be strong. Just my 2 cents. You do what ultimately works for you. Good luck and keep fighting the good fight.

 

I paid with credit card, not sure about PayPal. But I’d say go with another service or with Qustodio. I started using Qustodio and it’s much more user friendly and has a free version that is quite easy to use.

 

Hi guys.

I recently got the life time membership and got their username and password emailed to me. I put it in the software but its still not blocking porn. I've emailed them multiple times and still not answer. I will wait for their reply otherwise ill charge back my card..
