So i was wondering... when you start to be open about your NoFap experiences, how do other people take it? Do they throw a lot of hate and insults your way? Are they empathetic? I haven't run into it yet, but in the past that's usually how things go, when I open up about something.. it just breeds a bunch of hate.

Sheesh, what are you doing when you are opening up my man?^^ Or to what kind of people are you opening up to?
To respond to your question; I'd say I get 95% positive and 5% negative reactions. A few of the positive ones are actually REALLY positive as in "holy shit, how the hell do you do this? That's incredible"
I don't try to convert anyone when talking about it and just that I enjoy my life more this way.
I used to try to convert though and that never came across well.

Once I dropped the missionary attitude while talking and went for a more relaxed "that's just what I do because I like it"-mindset my room mate at the time actually started doing it himself as well.

When i say it to my closest friends that porn is bad and fuck up your brain and your sexuality they deny it and tell me that if you have erectil disfunction or delayed eyaculation is because have some psicologial issue or you need to see a doctor to rule out some physical problems. They don´t think that porn is harmfull at all.

I highly recommend keeping it a secret for now. Overtime if they see you dramatically change with this NoFap journey, then that will get their attention. Action speaks louder than words. :)

Thanks for the input, i try to respond in a way that avoids the "i'm right" attitude. Everyone is different and has a different approach.

  6. From what I understand, you're afraid to know what others might think of you? You're the one who matters, not the others. What you think is more important than what others might think of you and this process. Do what you want to do, without taking into account the opinions of others.
Just don't try to convince them. You can't change people. You can just change the way you look at them :)
