How long were you addicted to porn before taking the challenge?

Mine is kind of funny actually. I started watching porn when i was too young to enjoy it (about 6 or 7). At my friend's house, his older brother would just walk in and change the dvd and boom! At age 14, the same guy who made me watch porn showed up again and that was when i got hooked. Couldn't stop myself. But heres the crazy part i never pmo'd until i was 19, I could watch for hours alone in my room and just get up and go out right after or go to sleep. That was probably because my parents were very religious. I Pmo'd faithfully for 3 years and here i am trying to fix myself.

 

I've been trying to complete the 90 day no PMO challenge for a while now, I've been trying to quit since I was 26, I'm 29 now so like 3 going on 4 years. Ive also made alot of progressive, I used to pmo like 2 times a day everyday. Now maybe I relapse once a week, and I've had some okayish streaks. But I do want to complete the 90 day challenge and continue to keep porn out of my life.

 

I was 11 when I started utilizing PM, and that progressed to PMO as I went through puberty. Took me until I was 29 (18 years) to really acknowledge that I had a problem, and that my marriage depended on ending my habit.

So thankful I found this community - the ability to share without fear of judgement is an incredible asset.

 

I got my first highspeed internet connection about 22 years ago which is when the downhill started, but I was very much interested in porn since the age of 12-13. The shame, guilt and ED problems have following me throughout most of my adulthood, but this is where it's going to end.

 

I started PM between 11/12. I got addicted rapidly so I guess I'm addict since 4-5 years more or less.

35 years. I first discovered porn at age 5 and got seriously hooked. I cringe thinking about just how many hours of my life I've been hypnotized by porn. Thankfully things have slowed down the last handful of years, but in my teens and early 20s I binged to porn very frequently.

 

i started porn and masturbation both at 12 but not the whole time, i realized my addiction from 2019 and started nofap in march 2020

but i may have really started in 2017 to get addicted because during 2013-2016 i dont remember using porn, but in 2015-2016 often masturbation to thoughts

 

40 years.

Of course, I don't remember the exact time I started. That was long ago. You younger guys should check out how many of us there are in the Ages 40+ section. And I'm not bragging or saying you don't matter. I'm saying, learn from my mistake that this habit can take over your life. And you have learned! Just being here at your age (whatever it is) is more than I ever did. You have value.

About ten years. I don’t know if I can do it though.
