I take Zoloft and I have had awesome results. Its just enough to take the edge off and keep me moving and staying positive. I haven't had any negative side effects but I know some guys have issues with impotence and or increased depression. But it has definitely helped with my journey. At the end of the day do what is best for YOU bro.

If a drug was prescribed to you, take it.

The doctors are the ones who'd spent a better part of a decade (if not more) in medical schools, they know more than you. If you don't trust the experts, you will have problems in life and will have no-one to blame but your own stupidity.

Experts who prescribe drugs to you are also legally responsible if anything goes wrong. That's why lawyers have their jobs. So the fact that something was prescribed to you means that the person who prescribed is guaranteeing it's safe usage, otherwise they wouldn't prescribe it as any legal consequences can be dire.

Now, if you don't trust your doctor for any reason, you have to change him or her. If you don't trust the system of medicine, change that. Modern medicine is not the only form of medicine available. People have had marvelous results with Chinese, Ayurvedic, Tibetan medicine etc.

Nevertheless, whatever you chose, make sure that it comes from an educated, profesional and registered practitioiner of medicine. Only they have spent time learning and only they are responsible for your health - for all the procedures they give, drugs they prescribe and even any verbal advice they tell you. Not many people have the guts to accept this responsibility, and the ones who do are usually damn sure that what they give you is the right thing - or at least that it won't make you worse.

Also, if you don't take the prescribed drugs, you have to tell this to your psychatrist, and then usually sign a declaration you are declining his or her help. If you had the drugs prescribed and you don't take them and also get worse, it will be seen as the fault of the doctor, even though you didn't take the drugs.

It's not easy to heal. Respect those who do.
