Bored of Porn-No erection

    I started watching porn when I was thirteen, started with light stuff and later transitioning to more hardcore scenes. I'm 24 now, had a girlfriend for a year from 22-23 where I didn't really watch porn and would have hard erections with my gf(80% if the time).
    Iv'e unfortunately started watching porn for the last few months now and I don't get erections(I do but not full ones) like when I did from age 13-22 This is so strange and depressing...Any pointers?? Has anyone else suffered from no erections from watching porn?

    It's referred to as porn induced erectile dysfunction (PIED) and it can take different forms. I did not have the symptom you describe, but porn did cause me to have premature ejaculation, which used to be really embarrassing when I was with intimate partners. The recommended course here is to abstain from masturbating with porn (PM). Some may also advocate for abstaining from orgasming altogether for a period of time (PMO). I am in a relationship so I am only abstaining from porn and masturbation. The common duration I have seen prescribed here is to try to reach 90 days without PM or PMO . In my opinion, just do your best and keep trying.

    Thanks man, yep, I will be abstaining from porn and masturbating very shortly. It could partly due to the fact how I see porn in a different way-it seems so fake. I'm just confused about this strange symptom I have. Maybe someone else has experienced this symptom-not being fully erect after watching porn?

    Can I ask you when you had premature ejaculation, were you fully erect? Sorry for the personal question

    Yes. I guess I had trained myself to get off as quickly as possible, maybe stemming back to fear of getting caught using porn as an adolescent. The only times I had issues with achieving or maintaining an erection were related to anxiety about my premature ejaculation when attempting to have sex. PIED seems to be the most common issue related to porn use, so maybe someone else can chime in.
