Introducing Myself - 21y/o ready to make positive changes

    Hi all,

    just introducing myself. Sorry this quickly gets a little intimate!

    I am gratfeul to not have had serious addictive problems with pornography in the past, but over the past few months I have been returning to it more and more frequently.

    I have been visiting a certain explicit sub-reddit that I somehow fooled myself into thinking- it's not porn! Oh, the things we tell ourselves....

    Anyway, going to go ahead and attempt 90 days on 'hard mode' from now- no porn, no masturbation, and no sex.

    I am 21 years old and have never been intimate with a woman apart from kissing, and I've always thought my time would come at some point. But over the past year or so I've realised that I have to get out there and make it happen. Still, I cannot picture myself being with someone or having sex, it just feels a little surreal. I cannot know why this is exactly, but growing up with high-speed, never-ending internet porn surely has not helped.

    I have been browsing this website this morning and am really encouraged about how honest and supportive it is, so I'm glad to become a part of it and ditch this habit once and for all. Hoping to use NF alongside some other personal growth practices and really try to sort myself out a bit, I am lost and directionless at University, hardly keeping up on a course I have grown to dislike.

    If the first times a person relapse easly, it's okay.

    Don't porn anymore, it's better to struggle and at the last to relapse than to look at porn.

    Anything is scary until you try it for the first time. Sex is scary. Quitting porn is scary. Changing your life is scary. But at some point, you get used to that, and what was uncomfortable before now became easy. I believe in you bro.

    I'm a 21 year old male virgin too and I think this is one of the best decisions you can make. When I hit 90 I was doing so much with my life. I got to the point where I asked a girl out in a crowded gym full of people and got REJECTED but I didn't even care. There was no nervousness, just pure confidence. I hope we both get to that point.
