Demons

For Fapstronauts who are disciples of Christ

  1. Do you think that demon exist and that you can be obsessed by them?

  2. According to Scripture, demons are indeed quite real. We can give our attention to just about anything we choose, and some do have an unhelpful fascination with the occult. Better by far to keep our focus on Christ and leave the demons to him to deal with.

Hebrews 12 - Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, 2 fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. 3 Consider him who endured such opposition from sinners, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart.

Demons surely do exist and that is confirmed by scripture as @Tao Jones said. In fact, since satan is not an omni-present being, he he needs to rely on demons to do his dirty work around the world.

The wonderful news about that, though, is our God IS omni-present. He is everywhere, always and all-powerful and all-knowing too! The name of JESUS is the name above every name, including the names of temptation, lust and pornography. Cry out to Him and any spirit that is afflicting you will leave!

As far as I know, Christians cannot be possessed by demons, because the holy spirit lives in us. I think it is not possible that one person of the trinity and a demon could live in the same body.

We can be influenced by demons though. Some music / movies might have demonic influences, pornography definitely does. And also I think that demons might be able to influence our thoughts and feelings directly. But the holy spirit who lives in us, is more powerful than the devil and his demons (1 John 4:4). We don't need to be afraid, but whenever we resist the devil (or any demon) in the name and power of Jesus, he will flee from us. (James 4:7).

I definitely feel that demonic forces gained power in my life as I gave in to pornography. Especially, I started having depressive episodes / panic attacks (for no reason) on days when I was home alone, because this was my main temptation situation. The interesting thing is that this only happened on certain weekdays. As if some demon had read my wife's schedule and sneaked into our appartment, whenever he knew that she had left. But thanks to prayer, walking in the spirit and also my accountability partners, I was able to "resist the devil" and the attacks didn't happen for some time now. :)

Demons are the wandering spirits of the dead hybrids that occured in the ante-deluvian era when the fallen angels fornicated with women. Because since they're from an evil fruit of the fallen angel that lost their first estate following Satan, they can't go back to Heaven neither in Hell since Satan is not punished yet.

So what they want is a new body eventually, that is why you heard about the term "demon possessed" and even the Pharisees insulted Jesus saying "He has a demon", and also the swines that killed themselves at some deadly cliff when Jesus somehow "transfer" them out from a boy's body (the famous "I am Legion, for we are many" episode). You might saw the term "unclean spirit" as well.

So there's a difference between a demon and a fallen angel (which is probably the so called "aliens").

That's just my view on it. Nevertheless, it's very wicked and we as Christian having the indwelling Holy Spirit from God as a seal, can not be demon possessed and standing firm in the faith of f the redemptive blood of Jesus Christ makes them flee from us, plus we have angels protecting us.

    God bless !

How do you close the portal that sin (PMO) opened for demonic influence? I've went through some dark paths that only could be walked on by demonic influence, I want to be free as I know that is not me nor my true desires...I want to repent badly.

  7. "Repent" literally means to turn away. You close that door by refusing to enter it again, no matter what. Keep your eyes focused on Christ and not on P. Do whatever it takes to stay away.

This makes a lot of sense brother. I just had a realization the other day that I was only 90% in this battle. I wasn't not fully committed to the fight. I likened myself to a sluggish solider who did not want to be on the battlefield...forgive me LORD.
