Do anybody ever get that dizzy feeling after accidentally seeing sexual content while rebooting?

But what does it mean though?

  4. It's a rush of dopamine, mate.

It just shows you how much of a super-normal stimulus pornography really is.

These neurological effects are the mechanism of the addiction.

Well, thank you for that. I always counter it with a cold shower each morning/night just to gain some normally, and boom, my brain accepts it with a clear head.

It hasn't happened in a while and I don't know if it's similar, but I know there have been times where I'm tempted and I'm already in bed but it's like the part of my brain that resists and fight is just "holding it off" and is maybe equal in strength so my mind gets tired enough that I fall asleep, it feels like it suddenly drains my brain of energy. So in a sense I don't need to win, or the win is the habit/conditioning doesn't win because just getting tired out and falling asleep prevents the acting out.

Does it always happen early in the day for you and how long does it last? I guess you may not know how long it could last if you take a cold shower fairly quickly after..

Always happens when I’m scrolling through social media, you know, things to post and share, and there’s that one girl with a half naked picture and suddenly, I feel woozy for maybe about 20 minutes once I stop seeing it but I didn’t and never relapsed. When it comes to pictures like that while I’m doing a reboot, my brain is more like “Oh, he’s not watching porn anytime soon, so let’s just cool out.”, Kinda like a fast reboot for it because I do meditation and cold showers daily now to help rewire it.

I think it'd be really interesting if we had a technology that measures how long we look at the picture. Because I bet a split second wouldn't quite do it, but I don't know depending on the persons brain maybe even 1/10 of a second vs. 1/2 would make the difference.

  9. Also, in addition to the dizzy feeling, I get a strange sensation in my eyes, as well as heart palpitations and sometimes even cold shivers.

I ascribe these things to nervous excitement, the whole symptom complex of addiction to pornography being a very specific type of nervous exhaustion which, once upon a time, used to be called neurasthenia.

That merely watching moving images of other people having sex could produce such physiological effects is a fact that can't be unknown to public health officials and other vested governmental agencies, but yet they do nothing about it.

  10. Yeah man, it's like the difference between a quick relapse and an all-day edging binge. You always feel worse after a binge simply because of a longer exposure time to the super-normal stimulus which is pornography.
