Why don't you lock your smartphone? Use an app called digital detox, it is free. Lock it 24/7.

What I'm doing that is helpful is I'm paying for a in person accountability partner in a sex therapist. I use him as an accountability partner and as a bonus he helps me to find the root cause of why I pmo in the first place...call it an investment in myself.
If what your doing isn't working don't beat yourself up. Just change your approach. If you don't change what your doing you will keep getting the same result.

I say don't worry about the shame for now, that just naturally lifts the more time you have away from porn. Just focus on not using porn.

I understand it may be hard to stay away from easy access, what I've found is some things can be accessible but hard enough that I don't bother with it. My phone was not an issue anyway and now that the screen is all cracked it's just less likely. I have a limited data plan, and if I feel that much urge I would unplug the router and drive it away to another location. If I didn't have that location I may lock it in the car, or a PO box, etc. Yes I can still go out and get it, and at one point that wouldn't have worked, but at least you make it more difficult. Some other people had mentioned a time lock safe.

I think there are a lot of detailed things like this that can be done on all different levels but I know it's hard to implement them when you're not thinking clearly. I almost feel like you gotta go over to a friends house (or have a friend come over) and get things like that set up when you're really in it, although that could be a practical thing an AP helps with too. There's things that may be above the persons technical ability to bypass but it's also a matter of just a lot of things that work on this sideways that just takes away the likelihood just a little bit. You do enough little things and you do them long enough it can pull you out.

What are you doing? Just stop fapping? Or have you replaced the PMO with something else? Like journaling, exercise, meditation, sports, something. I don't know how is your life or what you are doing, but, for everyone, if you want to achieve a difficult task you need planning, you need quite simply structure.

Add structure to your life, plan your day and I'm not speaking metaphorically, having a journal pen and paper, where you can write safely will do wonder to rationalize what you are feeling, specially if you are dealing with an urge at that moment.

Plus, making a check list for tomorrow is a great move to always have something to do and be productive, add small, but important tasks like cleaning the room and so on, these small victories add up and will help you keep sane. Just don't feel bad or guilty, DO something, guilty never helped anyone. You need focus right now. And tell yourself you love yourself from time to time man, damn, be kinder to you, accept that you have flaws and want to be better, its not spiritual or self help bullshit. There is actually scientific basis in self affirmation, even if you feel you loath yourself, tell yourself different, tell that you deserve good and will work to be happy.

Also you can track what you do. Just make brief notes like every waking hour. It doesn't take more than a few seconds but don't get distracted, it's once an hour so you can set a timer. Don't judge it and worry about what you're going to do with the information later. Once you have enough data you can look at it a bit more closely. As a bonus you might even rate any urges you have but just write it down and don't dwell on it. There's no machine smart enough to understand stuff beyond simple things like what a fitness tracker does so you just have to manually do it. If you took 5 seconds to write each hour and you are awake 16 hours during the day that's 80 seconds.

Maybe I can act as some inspiration to you here friend. I used to be able to achieve very respectable streaks and I even broke the 90-day barrier twice. However, for months I had been unable to pass the one-week mark, just like you. As of this very morning, that's changed! What is most important is to constantly keep adapting your strategies and reinforcing your will to quit and treat every failure as a learning experience. Every time you fail, write down (write down! your brain can only handle so much, use a computer or paper or whatever, just get it out) your thought process before and during the relapse and take steps to make sure you will choose a different path next time.

If you want ideas, what finally seems to have stuck for me this streak is re-incorporating daily meditation - nothing crazy, just 10 minutes - as well as reintroducing a creative outlet into my life in drawing. I have always shied away from art because I'm bad at it, and doing things I'm bad at makes me feel dumb, but even though my creative output isn't great quality right now the important thing is having that external canvas to shed my emotions into.

Apologies for the tangent, but what I'm trying to say is you have to keep trying new things until they stick. If you keep trying and keep refining your strategy, recovery becomes a matter of when, not a matter of if. It's when we get complacent and stop constantly trying to get better that our eventual recovery is put into question.

  13. Your struggle is mine too! My only (and probably best) suggestion is aim only for sobriety TODAY. In fact, write down the word TODAY, some important, but secret for you. Keep telling yourself, I may act out tomorrow, but I am going to use all my powers to stay sober today.
