Social media is soft-core porn

These days social media is soft-core pornography. A lot of women post pictures of them half-naked. They show their breasts and their asses to get likes, to get validation and reaction from other people. Porn portrays women as only body parts and the pictures that some women post of themselves is like porn, because they are showing only their body parts. They maybe want to compare with porn. A lot of the pictures are photoshopped/edited. Some say “i post it just for fun”. But there is nothing fun about it. It is all about getting validation to boost their self-esteem by the likes they get.

There a lot of attention whores. They do everything to get attention. Why should i waste my time and give them the attention? Some women participate in programs such as Ex on the beach, temptation island just for getting attention. They have there sex in front of the camera. These days everything is pornified and sexualized. Sex sells, but most of the people have bad sex. It is only about getting off quickly instead of enjoying sex, connecting with the other and being in the present moment.

I can better focus my time and energy for my goals, passion and building meaningful relationships with women/other people. I want to look women in the eyes, not on a fucking computer screen. I like women that dress well, take good care of themselves and have self-respect.

The pictures of the women on social media has the same effects as porn. It works the same for the brain. It is artificial. To fully recover from porn and rewire your brain, you have to stay out of social media..

I have deleted all my social media accounts and don’t want to see photoshopped pictures of women anymore.

Can't agree with you more on this. Social media is great for keeping in touch with friends and people you know closely. It's also great for expanding your network and offers a lot of business opportunities. But what you explain is an immense downside of having social media. I'm at day 11 of no pmo and also no social media and I'm sure I would not have been able to reboot for 11 days if I didn't quit social media. I'm not planning on staying away from social media for the rest of my life, but definitely during rebooting. After that I'll try to use social media in a way that it benefits me, if that's even possible. Thanks anyways for sharing your thoughts and opinion! It's nice to see other people noticing the same trends.

For me personally social media is worst than porn. I deleted IG and got site and app blockers so I never have to look at those fake women again

  5. thats not the sad part, the sad part we wasted a lot of years uncovering this truth, we wasted tons of hours in social media, youtube stupid videos, dating apps, thinking we wanted it, but it was just our addiction taking control of us, its scary that this addiction controlled us to the point all what we do and think about is seeing pictures and getting thise small doses of dopamine during the whole day, but hey we learned its up to us to inform other people about this and how dangerous it is.

I deleted all social media except snapchat a long time ago. I wish I could get rid of snapchat also seeing as the entire discover tab is essentially porn but I have some friends I can only talk to regularly using it. Besides that, I am detoxed. And believe me you don't know just how bad it all is until you're rid of it.

In a way the mechanism of believing is in both social media, even the vanilla social use of it as well as porn. You can believe there's some romantic story with someone you come across even without imagining sex, which is of course what infatuation is about - and that happens even when there is no media let alone when there's just the limited information of SM to feed your imagination.

There's also the general attention seeking, and that's an issue in a non-sexual context and even here. It is conceivable someone is motivated by the attention and validation even if it is just some Likes and the like, by strangers online who may or may not have really read the post, and may or may not remember and even have a successful recovery. Contrasted with this quote I recently read:

.. which makes me wonder, how much do people work together beyond basic social accountability here? Or do we have more of a competitive dynamic of people getting the most days in a streak or other challenges framed in a competitive way?

No, just keep social media but instead, unfollow all the girls who post naked pictures
It's better than totally removing social media

  10. Its another solution for treating pmo you still have to watch for ads, and posts your friends liked ect, but did you know social media hijack your brain the same way porn does, when you quit all bad sources that feed you dopamine, your life gets c10 times better, if you want to get into Harvard suddenly you will get fed dopamine every-time you get an A in exams you the mere thought of getting an A instead of pushing through your goals with sheer will and endurance because you dont enjoy the 3 hour lectures and the revising and the endless hours of research because you dont feel the low doses of dopamine you get from it when you get huge loads of it in Ig youtube, smoking, drinking, porn dialy, ect.

but of course this is Nofap, not NobadDopamine forum but i wanted you to consider it, after all most guys read about nofap to transform their life not only to quit pmo.

Social media doesn't contribute anything to my life happiness. So why should i keep it? I am not a slave for those companies that only wants to make money out of keeping people addicted? I have better things to do in my life.
I'm not going to watch people who supposedly have the perfect life or the social media happiness.

Most people are becoming anti-social because of social media. They don't look people in the eyes anymore, have social anxiety, they are constantly looking at their smartphone. Look at the youth, it is a disaster these days.

I like to be social in real life. To connect with people. Look people into their eyes, not a screen.

But if you want to keep social media, just keep it.

If you want a complete rewire and reboot stay off of social media period. At least for sometime maybe indefinitely but if you do use it to communicate and stay in touch with family and friends from around the world use it very sparingly and be aware of your triggers

You are completely right. The newest social media platform called tik Tok is the biggest culprit of this. The body parts are like the main parts to get likes and is basically soft porn. I would urge anyone to stay off that.

  14. I think it's not just girls who post half-naked porn. It's most of the media that are surrounded by it.
