Often times after a PMO relapse i'd also begin neglecting other areas, i.e. studying, exercise and meditation. Over the last 30 days i've been on multiple week long streaks with a few 1 day binges sprinkled in. This time instead of my usual f**k everything attitude after a relapse/binge, I decided to keep up with my habits, i made sure I studied at least 2 hours a day, i made sure i worked out 6 times a week, i made sure i meditated and did some yoga every morning. This has made it much easier for me to immediately hop right back on the wagon. Because I have maintained discipline in all these areas I don't have a huge, discouraging amount of work to make up when i decide to start being productive. During my old pmo binges i'd neglect everything for weeks or even months after a relapse and the mere act of starting from scratch again made me not even want to be productive anymore. I will not fall into that trap again. I've also noticed that sticking to these habits has made my recovery much faster. States of mind that used to take me 2-3 weeks of no PMO to obtain now come within 5-7 days. Stick to your habits even after a relapse/binge, it'll make it easier to hop on the bandwagon and it'll make the recovery process faster.

  2. Its a good way, but you should be putting the same effort into not relapsing, how many more times are you going to relapse everyweek before you decide to stop it for once, im not saying you are not doing good by any means, in fact you are doing too well, but pmo is not a bad habit, its an addiction theres a plan one must follow through to avoid relapse such as not peeking and not gazing ect, willpower and hope will only take you so far, as for discipline, you only need little of it to avoid triggers, also you have some very good habits, between you i found the good habits that i liked like reading and exercising more fun to engage in than other because i love those two activities, so make sure your new habita are like hobbies so they wont drain you a lot, good luck i hope things change for you :)

    Good habits are most important......

Many small good habits takes very less energy than pmo....

Ant sizes steps also essential to build good habits.....

Example.. I know three laugages, I use google translation to convert posts in another language and read same posts in three different languages, so its kind of fun and specifically exciting.

This is something I’ve experienced myself many times after lapsing then relapsing for weeks or months before finding my way again. It is a psychological trap known as the abstinence violation effect. Once we’ve slipped and PMO’d we feel discouraged and just go all out and binge, or remain in limbo indefinitely. What you’re doing now is great, if you lapse just get right back up and stick to your healthy habits and power through those rough days and the fog will clear. Be mindful though of triggers and situations that put you at risk though.
