Thanks for asking!! It does suck but I learned a bit more this time. Last time I relapsed because I spent a week not caring for my physical body very well, which eventually built up anxiety which overwhelmed me into a relapse. THIS time I spent a week not caring for my EMOTIONAL self very well and it built up into an even worse relapse. I have some very stressful situations at work that are being caused by some very unhealthy interpersonal dynamics (unfortunately it's coming from the senior executives, so handling it is tricky!). I was getting very hurt personally and also watched other people I know getting hurt (which is tough for me because I am a strongly empathetic person). I won't get into the details of the struggles there and I do have a course I'm on towards resolving them.

So, the good news is that all my healthy habits for keeping my body in line are still in place (waking up early each day, getting lots of exercise, eating healthy, cold showers, etc.). That really helped and I believe it will continue to help.

So, my next challenge is to include habits in my daily routine that help me keep my emotional self healthy. I need to actively *feel* my emotions and either find expression for them or let them pass. I use the word "actively" because my automatic response to deep hurt is to stuff it down....it really happens without me even thinking about it. So, I need to *actively* reach to be in touch with how I feel each day and make sure things aren't piling up in there waiting to blow.

I'm thinking of taking up some breathing practice, and perhaps some mindfulness or meditation. Anyone have any other suggestions for habits that help bring deeper emotions up to the surface for feeling and processing?

Hey thank you for sharing! Yes, the physical and the emotional, both need a lot of tending to..

It think you are right to consider meditation, it has helped me a lot even though I am very bad at this whole mindfulness thing, or perhaps just because of that. My monkey brain is all over the place all the time and mindfulness does help to put things in to perspective.

If you are looking for a starting point I can recommend Waking Up (both the book and the app) by Sam Harris.

What I like about him and his work is the focus on science and absence of any religious dogma. That being said, if religion is of importance to you I am sure there are plenty of other options that could benefit you just as much.

In any case, I wish you lots of inner strength and wisdom going forward!

    Day 42/90

I’m committed to checking in here once a day. I’m committed to successfully completing this 90 day challenge.

    Stay committed friends!

A few weeks ago, I came across this distinction between being interested and committed and it truly challenged me. I’m pulling this directly from the book The Millionaire Fastlane.

“Interest reads a book; commitment applies the book 50 times. Interest wants to start a business; commitment files LLC paperwork. Interest works on your business an hour a day Monday through
Friday; commitment works on your business seven days a week whenever time permits. Interest leases an expensive car; commitment rides a bike and puts the money into your system. Interest is looking rich; commitment is planning to be rich...

Interest is quitting after the third failure; commitment is continuing after the hundredth.”

Commitment says I will do whatever it takes to get this done. It may be uncomfortable, it may hurt, some days I may be dragging, I don’t have all the answers, but despite all these things... I’m committed!

Let’s go guys. What are you committed to doing in the next 7 days?

    All the Best,

    Lamboskovich

Don't worry about wet dreams, they're a normal function of the body now that you are not having orgasms through masturbation or partnered sex. The low feelings will pass. Just keep going.

I visited the dark side last night. I was feeling so asexual the few days before that I looked at porn to see I if I would get hard. It was stupid. I told a woman friend about my desire to be free of porn, chat sites and masturbation . Shes can ask me anytime . Accountability helps. One day at a time.

Hey @Timothy_James I would recommend you applies his approach.

When I feel I large emotional cloud or emotional discomfort. I get on my bike and ride slowly so that I can think about what causing the issues and come up with possible solutions.

Am starting to believe that emotions are like a child they just want to be listened and understood by the own.
They are trying to get you to notice them and listen to what is causing them discomfort and uneasiness.

You can choose you approach give it a try for only a week and if it doesn't help then you try something else.

  15. Day 0/90
    Total clean days - 13
    Total PMO - 18
    Total P - 2
    Total hours remaining - 2160

I was upset and angry after a relapse but I just couldn't hold it anymore and did a full blown binge. I did it for 8 times. I was frustrated towards my relapses. For last 2 months I never did a binge but today I gave in. I thought that if I relapsed once it won't do much of a damage. But I started relapsing every two or three days and sometimes made it to 7 days but still I tried to control it. But I understand that if you relapse without exceeding your past streak it is useless and you are running in circle. I like to admit that I have problem of scratching my junk and I thought it's ok to do so. But I realised now that by doing so it gives me jolt of urges afterwards. So I will stop it. My PMO cycle is going for a 7 years now and still I am at day 0. So I decided to throw away my phone from now on until I completely do 30 days.
