  4. I scratch there, too every now and again. My trick is being deeply present when I scratch. I'm focusing on the scratch and not allowing my mind to run away with sexual thoughts. Try to be as quick as possible, too.

    How are you man?
First thing you should know is that you are in a right way, i.e. you have decided to quit it, so that's good man:emoji_muscle:, it means also you should start fighting.

The second step is that if you want to quit PMO successfully, you must be in and do not give up even if you relapse, i.e. you should forget that and try it again in different way. For example, one time I set a goal of 14 days but I relapsed, then I burned $50 of my savings with lighter (cigarette), you should find some sort of punishment (which really makes you feel like broken) for yourself and stick to it and if you relapse do it. Of course, if you did not relapse and could reach your goal then you should consider a prize for yourself (except PMO, drugs, smock, etc.), something big/small but makes you feel happy. You should find it for yourself too. This step will conditionalizes your mind about PMO, also makes you strong, and helps you stay on your words, behaviors, and helps you to be responsible for your life which are good.

The third thing is that you should try to leave the place where you usually do PMO or at the moment that you think about PMO you should leave the place and go somewhere else and do something which keeps you busy. This is hard. You should try to find something to do, for example I usually do sport for 1 or 2 hours and then the feeling and think of PMO is gone.

    My suggestion is the following:
    - Start with small goal and try to extend it, let say 1 week no PMO (totally clean). Try hard to reach your goal by any way you think

    - It is very important to do some sport, I think without this step quitting PMO would be very hard.
    - If you relapse, try it again and again with punishment. You can also increase the level of punishments by each relapse. The punishment will wake you up. That's good.
    - If you did not relapse, consider a really good prize for yourself.
    - Sometimes the think of PMO is like and urge of spending time to do something, so whenever you feel you want to do PMO, instead come here and read posts and reply the posts. Actually, this way is helping me very much, I see how the others are fighting against PMO, I got energy and so I just forget PMO.

I will watch your posts, so write here, whenever you achieve your first goal, and know that you are in a right way and you can do this man:emoji_muscle::emoji_muscle::emoji_muscle::emoji_muscle:

I relapsed. It's crazy how one day you can feel on top of the world and the next you just relapse because you can't resist. It was just m'ing, no o. But hard mode is hard mode. At first I didn't want to count this as a relapse, but it happened two more times after that in the same week. I now realise that by not counting m'ing as a relapse I'ill keep doing it more and more and eventually the benefits of Nofap will be gone. I also thought at one point that if I count this as a relapse I might as well just go for an o, but that will reset me even more and it'll only take more time for my brain to rewire. I think the m'ing I did just caused a minor step back, but just to be strict on myself I count this as a relapse. The cause is probably me going on social media again. As soon as I started doing that I felt less productive, less benefits overall and didn't feel enough needs to come to the forum anymore. So I'm going to try to cut down on social media again and focus on Nofap more. This relapse also probably means I won't reach the 90 days anymore as university starts in September and I need to fully focus on my studies from that point. I noticed that all the urges during Nofap prevented me from focussing 100% on school. But I'd rather stop the challenge then and have 60 days completed than pretending I completed 90 days while I actually relapsed several times. We'll see how far we get. For now I'm continuing and taking smaller steps.

Day 526 at attempting this challenge
    Day 183 weigh training (M, W, F)
    Day 2 Jogging (Tues &Thurs)
Day 54 No caffeine and no alcohol
    Lifestyle: reduced desserts

Shit, relapsed since I lacked the willpower to stop once triggered looking at porn subs on FB. Starting again the normal 90 day way. Onwards and upwards my friends. Never give up as we will do this challenge at some point. Have a great day my friends.

Hi there, from reading your post it seems like you were Ming without the O. Otherwise known as edging. This is even worse than just MOing.
There is a wealth of information here about why edging is more harmful then just Oing...

Hey guys, I'm going to reset my counter. Although I didn't have a full relapse yesterday, I spent a significant deal of time looking at porn subs yesterday. I got pretty aroused and realized this morning I definitely crossed a line and can't call this a "clean" streak. I'm committed to doing this RIGHT and with total HONESTY so I'm resetting to zero.

The good news is that I didn't "go all the way" and relapse. It was another hard week, with anxiety building up throughout the week and trying to overwhelm me on the weekend. I definitely really WANTED to relapse. I did end up eventually choosing some healthy outlets, like going to see a friend and talking through some of my feelings with my wife. All in all, it was a step forward and we got some breakthrough.

Thanks all for your continued support!!
