I've been hesitating to write about such subject, but I REALLY need help with it
Ok so, I have a foot fetish (i doubt it is a porn induced fetish), and guess what ? Each time i look at my feets (And im a man which is even weirder) I remember that i have a foot fetish, please don't tell me to not look at them because there is no way i can do that but i do unconciously
Maybe i have some sort of asexual (or whatever it is called) thing going on for me ? This really pushes me to relapse alot of times
    Thanks in advance.

  2. All I can say is to not look at your goddamn fee-just kidding. I'm not sure what to say about this but I wish you luck in overcoming this fetish.

Feels pretty messed up to be the only one with such annoying trigger

  4. You're not alone. There's a lot of people who love feet. But I'm not one of them and I despise them because I don't know, it's just dumb and I'm dumb to hate people for what they enjoy but that's a me problem so you shouldn't worry about me.

I don’t think you should treat this trigger different than any other trigger.

There are thousands, if not millions, of tools, tactics, methods, and practices to suppressing our triggers. Some people are triggered by an emotion, others by a place in their home, others by a time of day. There are lots of triggers all occurring inside and around our body’s that we can’t always just look away from.

One that I think in concept, maybe similar to yours, that I’ve dealt with, is emotional triggers. For some reason, feeling accomplished, happy, or excited screamed watch porn inside my head.

So what should I do? Avoid being happy? Avoid these feelings? Unfortunately, there isn’t really an easy answer. But, an example of one thing I could do is spend time with others when I feel these emotions. I don’t relapse and watch porn when I’m with others. I get positive social interaction sharing my happiness with others. And I’ll feel even happier from that. It’s a positive feedback loop.

I don’t have some golden rule to fix your specific issue, but, in a good way, I don’t think it’s unique. If you wanted to copy my solution, maybe where shoes or socks unless you’re with others.

You can also fight this trigger mentally. That’s the best place to fix it in the long run. Sometimes, we need physical limitations, such as shoes, to back us in the beginning.

But anyway, best way to eliminate this problem is to get healthier, work on your sobriety, and keep getting stronger.

    A few recommendations:
    • The book “Breaking the Cycle” is really good on this topic.
    • Learning to meditate
    • Spend some time learning to be with your urges instead of running from them and immediately trying to get rid of them
