50 days. no PMO. Female. Life Changing

Discussion in 'Success Stories' started by Deleted Account, Jul 12, 2020.

  1. Hello Everyone,

I just created an account to share my story and I hope it motivates someone out there. I used to just read forums from here to motivate myself and most of the stories were from guys; so I decided to post here instead so that everyone can read it.

I am a female in my late 20s and I have been masturbating since 9th grade but very infrequently. My problem started 5 years ago after a breakup and I think I PMO'd because I was missing him. I have been single since then and up until 50 days ago, was masturbating approx. once a week. It doesn't seem like much but it used to take me 4-5 days to feel whole again, not be depressed (was also suffering from depression and suicidal thoughts), feel energetic again... however, that wasn't enough time to feel motivated again or heal me physically. Definitely a mild addiction but even that was damaging enough. I used to be productive only 1-2 days out of the whole week.

I used to be a voracious reader (1-2 books per month, sometimes more) and in the past 5 years I can count on my fingers the number of books I have read. :(
I tried to stop for 2-3 years but kept relapsing anytime something stressed me out. Cold turkey is the only thing that works... and now I am finally 50 days clean.

TIPS: I think about my future husband and future children as a motivating factor. I want to be the best version of myself for them. I decided I had to start working on myself now for that to happen.

Here are the benefits I have noticed:
    - less hair fall
    - curvier figure = healthy body
    - face is glowing and my skin doesn't look as sallow
    - no more headaches, neck and back muscle pain
    - no more leg pains
    - more muscle mass, toned and in a feminine way. I feel stronger
    - less cramping and pain during periods
    - I don't get tired by the end of the day with any amount of work... physical or mental
    - actually getting work done instead of watching TV and escaping
    - life isn't great yet, but I still feel content with myself and I am not crying over every small thing.
    - much less social anxiety. I used to be a wall flower in high school. Not saying I've become a party animal but I'm more comfortable striking conversations with just about anyone.
    - self-worth as a woman... porn is degrading to both genders

    BEST BENEFIT
at the 30-day mark I met a great guy on Bumble. This guy is genuinely nice, humble, great personality, talented etc.etc.. We have so many similar interests! We haven't even met because of the lock down but somehow I can tell he doesn't PMO, at least not much anyways. After 5 years.. this is the first time I felt confident enough to get back in the dating game. I am not afraid anymore that I will choose someone that's not good for me because of my low self-esteem and insecurities, because I am working on them too. I know that I'll be attracting good people in my life now.. not just men, but friends, co-workers etc.

NoFap isn't going to get me my dream job, perfect partner or anything else in life. But I have hope now, and I have the will and confidence to pursue my dreams.

If you are reading, hang in there. I promise you, it is worth the struggle.

  4. Glad to see that it's not just males who are claiming to have benefitted from this experience.

  5. Haha yeah :)
My experiences have pretty much paralleled what guys have claimed except for the obvious biological and social gender differences. That's why I posted where everyone could see it.

    Great inspiring post.
    Thanks.
You are on the right track.
One thing i would suggest is to identify your triggers. Once u know what you are up against, winning the battle becomes easy.
    Keep going.

  10. Yeah I figured my reboot would be faster. It just goes to show though that any amount of PMO is damaging... in case anyone thought of edging or something.

  11. Thank you! :D
Sleeping on time did the trick for me, it automatically eliminated most other triggers. Now I wake up at 5am.
