I have been here before but I would consider myself new.

So I have tried nofap a number of times only to have failed. I feel like my efforts those times definitely weren't 100%. And I definitely didn't utilized nofap's forums and communities as much as I should have. Otherwise I wouldn't be in this state.

Little bit about myself: I am 31 years old. Born in Michigan, US. I went to a private school for most of grade school. I was picked on and bullied for most of my time going to that school. I often wonder what my life would have been if I hadn't gone to that school. But you know that is in the past and can't be changed. I contribute most of my issues to this though and I believe porn and masturbation addiction are a result of this. Porn and masturbation have become an escape for me subconsciously. So this is it. I have to change. I can't keep living like this. I keep seeing people talk about community strength so this has to be it. I have tried many different strategies for curbing my urges to rely on porn. From counting the days abstained or sticking to pictures only, all have failed. I am hopeful and look forward to what this will bring into my life.

 

Thank you guys for welcoming me back and for the encouraging words. I know this won't be easy but nothing worth having ever comes easy. As cliche as that sounds, it is true. This will be a test of strength and determination.
