Sounds good, what is the experiment? I'm trying to improve my wet dream performance, I'm currently 7 days on that front. I'm making a concerted effort to avoid them by meditating/exercising daily and avoiding eating and drinking an hour or two before I go to bed. Also I am looking at kegel exercises that I am going to gradually bring in to the equation. I really find that the SR makes a huge difference with energy levels, anxiety etc.

Day one of the Shinobi Challenge. I was really excited to find this thread and ready to start my Nindo.

I haven't posted in a long time and started in the 90 day challenge. In fact, I took it to over 400 days going strong. Then I had a relapse several months ago. It's been up and down ever since. In hind sight I think not staying active here when things were getting more difficult was a key factor in why I had trouble. So I'm here now to start the Shinobi Challenge and couldn't be more ready.

  7. Okay I'll tell you about it step by step of the experiment .
Step 1 - pmo hard mode . No imagination at all about the porn .
Step 2 - early morning exercise and meditation and drink lots of water after it . Remember first exercise and then meditate to get the best out of it . And to be specific there is one. " Mulbandh " "meditation . Do 10 cycles of it along with om chanting after that . Don't over do it . This all takes around 30-50 minutes including exercise as well
Step 3 - in the night have dinner early and it should be very light . Atleast Before 2 hours to bed . Drink water one hour before to bed . Avoid after that . Add fibre diet to the meal . Add veggies more to it . Nonveg and alcohol increases the rage and interfere in the meditation . Avoid over of all that stuff . If you really want to eat then can once in a while but not over do it . Avoid any liquid just before bed specially milk or something.
Step 4- before going to bed do the same mulbandh meditation 5 cycles only . Don't over do it . Just the meditation not the exercise . This will calm you down a bit .
Step 5- wash your feet before bed and put mustard oil on the sole after washing .
Step 6- don't wake up late . Sleep on time . And don't think of any porn before bed as it will come in dreams Subconsciously. So to avoid that I used to chant gaytri mantra while closing my eyes . And eventually fell sleep .
This whole routine should be follow daily .
Of you feel exhausted some day you can skip the morning one or reduce it but the night schedule to be followed às it is .
And of you are working or doing a job then mind taking a morning walk in the nature on one of the weekend . On that day you could add heavy exercise as well to charge you up like dumbbells and weight lifting .
This whole process will make you mentally as well as physically strong .
Although this is on experimentation for me . I clubbed this routine from different resources . I still have hope for other alterations in the future as to my 200 days journey to lend me into the best version of myself .
I tried to consise as much as possible . But if you or anyone have doubt about anything feel free to ask . I'll try to explain more in depth to best of my knowledge.

Definitely agree with you on the up early and getting active, usually I rise at 6am, a quick green tea and then 20 minutes zazen meditation before hopping on the bike. Although tomorrow I am going to be changing it up so I get up at 5.30am, do some qigong for 20/30 mins before the meditation and cycling. I would usually mix the cycling with the gym but I have tennis elbow currently so I am recovering from that. Its then as mentioned like you, eating and having a final drink well before bed. I eat loads of veg, in fact I have a very healthy diet of whole foods although I do drink a lot of coffee up till lunchtime. I will be working on this but for now I am concentrating on quitting smoking and alcohol so it is the bit of guilty pleasure I am giving myself at the moment. I also fit in a cold shower an hour before bed so to chill the mind, body and soul.

I'm intrigued by the mustard oil on the feet, is this directly supposed to aid against nightfall?

@Survival of the fittest also going back to your feeling the change in mindset, me too! I have changed so much for the better, but realise there is still a way to go. I used to PMO once, twice maybe more times a day, thats also on top of being in a relationship. How I ever got anything done I don't know lol.

  15. See quitting smoking abruptly is too dangerous in its own way and it's craving is a big thing on its own . So I would suggest to go bit by bit like reducing the pack of cigarettes week by week . And for alcohol thing you could cut down that easily just by not indulging with the folks you are drinking for a while and explain them about your decision . If they are really good they'll understand . And when you are mentally strong to handle it then go for it . And as a replacement for that dopamine surge and euphoria , go for some hobby or some thrill activity once in a while and do deep meditation . Play sports rather .
And for that mustard oil case . Actually it's just useful to relieve stress when you apply on foot by pressing the pressure points unknowingly . And reduces the heat from sole . As it's an experiment so have not researched much about it but as it's not harming my body so I used it and it worked . I'll later work on it though in detail after the effects .

  16. Atleast I suppose you are lucky in a way that you get to know about nofap in ongoing relationship . In my case I lost many relationships and the route reason was not known to me then but now when one of my friend told me about nofap thing and as an experiment I tried which made me realise what I was actually dealing with back then . Hope I would have known before . But still I can't change the beginning , what I can is decide how everything ends .

  17. And also sleep with loose and relaxed clothing . Sleep on back or side . Don't let anything touch your penis .

Well the alcohol isn't really a problem to stop, I quit from Nov until April this year. Started back up a little and had some big nights drinking and it was a timely reminder that I felt so much better, mentally and physically when I was sober. Regards the smoking again I had given up so fell into bad habits again for the last week or so, also because of the drinking. So I don't really feel the need to cut down slowly, although it is great advice and thats how I did it previously. I haven't really had any cravings to smoke, just brain fog and feeling lethargic which I know will pass.

To be honest I'm very excited to be getting back on the sobriety/no smoking train, it was like I relapsed and I have learnt from that and returned with renewed confidence and defiance :)
