Hey guys! I just wonder how many gamers we've got here and what games do you prefer? I was a HUGE Mass Effect lover (of the trilogy), it was my life motivator for years (before "Andromeda" arrived). Also "Hitman" series are amazing I would say. Now I'm playing some slasher/shooter games like "Deadpool" (my all time favourite) and "Wolverine: Origins" just release some pressure and "kill some bastards". It really helps. What about you?
Oh HELL YEAH! I was waiting for someone to post about this. I fucking LOVE the original ME Trilogy, I have played it at least once a year since 2013 I think. The Hitman series, well not the series, Silent Assassin, was one of the first game I really completed and loved. I played Deadpool, mostly cause I love the character, the game itself is not groundbreaking but the comedy does make up for it. I have not played Wolverine: Origins, I'm still trying to forget about the movie... It does help! when I'm feeling the urge I go right at gaming, I mostly play RPGs like Skyrim, Fallout, and Diablo III, but I do have some Online games I play once in a while to blow off steam like Overwatch, GTAV, LOL, etc... Video games are simply awesome, and in my opinion they help a lot of people with a lot of different issues, I pretty much learned English from MMORPGs (My native language is Spanish) I learned about ethics and morality, and about how the world isn't black or white, I has changed my life and I believe the lives of so many others. It is great to see a fellow Gamer in this site doing a reboot. I wish you the best of luck and keep on Killing some bastards. Conrad.
I am going to leave gaming for a few years. I'm currently playing outlast which is the last game I'm playing. After this I won't be playing games.
Love games, I've got a PS4, Wii U, XBOX one. Just finished Prey, it was a great friggin game. Love pretty much everything released by Bethesda. Square Enix's take on Tomb Raider has been pretty great too.
Hi there, I have played the Hitman series. I have also upgraded my PC to enjoy more adventurous games.
I think it's funny @Conrad Aether didnt list the Witcher series. Playing PLAYERUNKNOWN'S BATTLEGROUNDS lately, itching for a really good RPG to play...don't feel like running through Witcher 3 or Skyrim again.. Oh and I've got an account on the new RuneScape. Anybody play? lol...
I've played videogames my whole life, anything that is old ID Software is great, Wolfenstein 3D, Quake and DooM... Hell I play classic DooM every year. As far as Mass Effect goes, IMO the first 2 games were amazing, the 3rd was alright and Andromeda only sucks because the devs (Bioware) aren't the same team from the previous games. I do think videogames are a waste of time nowadays sadly, after you've played thousands of games nothing is good enough anymore and you keep looking for something better (oh no it's just like P!) but I still play them anyway, specially if it's a "competitive" fighting game such as Tekken, Street Fighter or Mortal Kombat. Glad to see you guys have good taste too!
I quit gaming for good. BUT, I must be honest... Mass Effect trilogy, the Witcher games, Dragon Age games, The Elder Scrolls games etc. Those were some of the best times I've had, especially after I build my own PC way back in 2010. My best gaming years was 2009 - 2016. I played World of Warcraft on a private server for 3 of those years, the GTA series etc. I was however, re-diagnosed with ADHD and my life, with gaming included, took its toll on me. I struggle to keep it in moderation and everything else in my life suffered. I was badly addicted. My life is better without it... but it doesn't mean that I can't reminisce the good ol' days when my only cares in the world was having fun with little to no responsibility. This thread does take me back... gosh
Wolfenstein 3d was one of the first games I've played. From the ID Software I've played in Doom3, Return to castle wolfenstein, Quake II, and couple months ago I've finished Quake 4, which was pretty good but very, very similar to Doom 3. And also Wolfenstein (2009). Old games was something. Even now I'm more into older titles, they are often very interesting games. Comparing Gothic 3 to Gotic 1 for example. Third has a better graphics, but.. nothing more imo. The plot, dialogues, music, locations, and NPC's are far better in part 1. I think the same thing is with films. The 007 series for example , it's so hard to compare first movies to the last ones.
I’m a gamer I have a PS4. The last game I played was Horizon Zero Dawn. I used to be a huge Mass Effect fan but Andromeda was an epic fail so I did not even buy it after seeing the negative backlash. The game I really want to play this year is Zelda breath of the wild but I don’t have a Nintendo Switch yet. I’m probably going to wait until xmas I don’t want to get obsessed with games right now its far too addictive. Games like Witcher 3 and Elder Scrolls consume your social life. First person shooter is my favourite genre but I think I have played it to death. Hours playing COD, Battlefield and Titanfall 2 has burned me out. It’s lost the excitement so I’m taking a break from them. The only game I’m actively playing right now is Clash Royale on my phone. Quick, casual fun and you don’t feel like you are going to be sucked into it for hours and hours like gaming on a console or PC. Games are seriously addictive but in a good way compared to porn so long as its in moderation. I suppose a lot of people see it as a big waste of time but its more like a double edged sword. Like for me it is stimulating in a good way and its very good at de-stressing. And as an art form well it speaks for itself the creativity that goes into it, very much on the same level as Hollywood movies. I’m a programmer and a designer so I feel like I’m in my element with this I couldn't give up on games completely not when you have games like GTA coming out every few years
I prefer retro games on the weekends. Right now I am trying to beat Viewtiful Joe and Chrono Trigger. The only modern games I play are Battlefield One and the new Tekken. I used to play DOA Last Round but that might be a trigger.
I think I played the Mass Effect trilogy so many times that I can't count, was looking forward to andromeda but it was a huge disappointment. Now I have to go to work and don't have so much time for gaming. Not so long ago I finished the Witcher series, amazing games, all of them. These days though I only have time for a match or two in dota with my pals, I miss the good old days when could save the galaxy for hours. Now, I also play Minecraft on wombatservers.com, it's a very nice way to relax after a long working day.
I would say my favourite is the COD series. I love every single game in the series, even Infinite Warfare! I also love the Legend Of Zelda series.
I usually play RPGs, but I enjoy playing some fighting games. The games I've really enjoyed are: - Mass Effect Trilogy - Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic - Dragon Age Origins (2 was meh... I haven't tried Inquisition yet, but I might) - All the Metal Gear games (Sons of Librety in particular) - The Zelda games, especially Majora's Mask - Undertale - Batman Arkham series - Elder Scrolls (played Oblivion and Skyrim, might try Morrowind someday) - Fallout 3, New Vegas and 4 - Shin Megami Tensei: Persona series - Soul Calibur games, especially 3 - Uncharted series - Tales of Symphonia Right now I'm trying to run through the Witcher trilogy, and after that, I plan on taking Ghost of Tsushima. Everything in due time.
