30 Days no PMO next stop 90!

My original goal was 30 days no PMO. Mainly because 90 days sounded really intimidating and this is my first time. This is the first span of 30 days without any masterbation/sex since I was like 11. I'm married so the question was more a matter of if hard mode or soft mode was the plan and how soon. I'll say after 30 days I do notice quite a few things that have improved. I feel much better about myself. Masterbation and pornography lead to a general disappointment in myself and it's been freeing and motivating to be free from it. I feel like I have more energy. I dont think about P or M much really. I have been more interested in my wife and if anything I have urges for sex more than P/M. I've been meditating and exercising more regularly. I'll say my relationship is still a pretty big mess. The wife and I are in a tough spot with some good days and some rough ones. Rebuilding trust will take time. We are seeing a counselor. The original plan was to evaluate after 30 days if I continue with hard mode or not and we decided that I will go til 90 days with no PMO. So, onward we go. It works if you work it.

 

Sure, but it's more an effort to give my brain a chance to heal uninterrupted. I've also read a lot and it just seems like it'd be a good idea to start with a solid foundation of abstinence.
