I'm new to this website, but I'm no stranger to nofap. So let me introduce myself and give y'all my story.

The first encounter I had with pornography was when I was in 4th-5th grade. It wasn't anything super bad, just simple things I could look up on YouTube. For a year I stopped doing that only because of complicated circumstances my family was in back then.

Then one night when I was 11-12, I went over to my friend's house for a sleepover and while he was sleeping I took his tablet and binged on porn on his tablet and eventually his mom caught me and sent me back home to my mom. Needless to say my mom was furious at me and she made me feel really bad about it but the hunger and the craving for porn never stopped there

When I was in 8th grade I discovered masturbation and got addicted to certain fetish videos and then it went on and on from there. And I carried that with me all the way through high school. I tried having sex with a couple of girls from my school who were thiccer than bowls of oatmeal but never managed to get a good lasting erection. I was sad that I didn't manage to get an erection with them, but was still obliviously fapping and watching porn.

On top of that my performance at school was low, I would get easily distracted and barely passed. I would never ask out any girls because I was nervous about the outcomes and I had low self confidence. I heard a little bit about nofap and how it would help people like me but I never really took it seriously because fapping and porn and rping online with strangers was more fun.

Until the summer after I graduated, big changes started to happen. I watched one nofap motivation video and it filled me with an extreme fire and motivation to better myself and have a better life. So I tried that for about a year since that day. Not surprising that I relapsed more than I got good streaks going but I never gave up.

Which brings me to today. I can't say that I've fully recovered but I'm not giving up. My longest streak is 11 days, it does make me sad that that's my biggest streak in one year of nofap but I'm not beating myself up over it, and I'm not loosing hope. I would love to know your guy's opinions on what I can do to get a good streak going that will eventually lead to me becoming pmo free, and I would also love encouragement. Thanks for reading

Grab some new hobbies, play music, I've been on this journey now for about 80 days, never felt better, but the struggle is there. I've been getting more involved in my guitar playing and physical fitness, that seems to help. You got to fill that void, I felt so much guilt, shame, depression, I knew something had to change. Now I have a lot better focus and seem more dedicated to the things that I love. Good luck to you

Thanks for that advice man! I've always kinda knew that but reminders are always good. I've been looking to get a job so I can get money to learn how to drive and whatnot. I've also been wanting to get into martial arts since martial arts teaches self discipline and character building. Again thanks for reminding me!

That would kick ass, I'd say until the money roles in, learn what you can from YouTube and the people from this forum. I'm always learning from YouTube about every interest in have, definitely feel more open minded about learning since all this started, we got to keep ourselves busy or well slip back into our old ways.
