so i'm 17 years old and started doing nofap 4 months ago and i've seen alot of improvements in my 20 days streak my long streak actually. after i relapsed
on my first streak it was no big deal since i was sure 1 day iam going to relapse and i needed to be deal with it but another 15 days passed with nofap then i failed again then another 10 days and i failed again now i cant stop in the past month my longest streak was 4 days and i really dont know what iam doing wrong here
    i started working out
    i have a good relationship
i write down all my goals and why iam doing nofap almost everyday to dont forget it
i spend 1 hour per day on social media and internet(expect the time i play video games since it's not too much and keeping me busy it's good)
iam using qustodio to block every naked/porn pic video etc.
    daily cold showers
i also managed to control my fap routine
and somehow i still manage to fail
seriously what am i doing wrong here?

    Hi Solaire!
Masturbating from time to time is not a problem at all: almost 100% of the male population does it, some with porn and some without.
You're here because you have a problem with porn? You watch it compulsively lots of times a day for several hours? Is PMO taking time away from your duties (study, work...) and you can't stay away from it?
Usually those who turn to NoFap do it because they no longer have control over the viewing of porn and the resulting masturbation (and by control I mean that they can't even spend a day without porn); after 2-3 days it's normal that you want to masturbate and there's absolutely nothing wrong with it.

Hi Solaire I just finished reading your post. I'd like to say congratulations on making a decision to quit porn that was a wise and courageous choice of yours. I was also in your position at that age where I was excessively watching porn and couldn't stop. At 19 I was able to cut that shit out of my life. I'm not here to sugar coat and bs saying that this is an easy journey, and yadada. Look you have to look at yourself in the mirror and be honest asf with yourself and say "You know what man I'm a porn addict. I'm going down the wrong path. This isn't how I'm going to live my life, because I have goals and dreams to achieve. It's time I quit this once and for all." Now try setting up a goal for yourself for 2 weeks max without porn, or masturbation and after that increase it to 3 weeks and then 4, etc. You have to occupy yourself with as many things as you can whether that be journaling, praying, walking, running, etc. This road isn't easy and your mind will play games with you and say "Why you doing this man? Go watch some porn, it'll make you feel good." You must fight that fuckin voice in your head and tell it to shut up. Every time you get an urge just remember that it's only going to make you mentally stronger so keep fighting brotha! Praying for you, and stay strong

I know that exact feeling because sometimes I still get those urges randomly. But those urges are temporary they may last for up to 5-20 min. What i do is if i get those urges i'll either hop on the success forums here, or watch something motivational and it seems to do the trick. After those urges past you feel more strong because you were able to overcome it. Stay in the fight, but if it's too much and it causes a relapse don't beat yourself up because it's better to fall and get up again.

How are you looking at porn if you have a blocker up? Are you by-passing it?

Or do you mean that you continue to fap without porn?

Why do you think you are relapsing? What is causing them?

Don' worry about that. You are in the right way, 20 days is a great streak!. In the first months I was attempting nofap, I only attained 18 days. For what I read, most of people failed a lot before achieving success. You need to be perseverant. Maybe you think You are not doing any progress by now, but you are developing discipline and good habits. And in the future all of that will be useful, I'm pretty sure you will have longer and much longer streaks.

    Don't give up

Well its very important to be motivated to keep going without PMO,to know why you are doing it,all those restrictions sometimes wont be enough to prevent relapse if you dont realize how much po*n is fuking you up.Ofcourse that you wont be motivated every single day but thats why you have all those blockers and everything, maybe researching a bit, just so you can see how bad this thing is and how much benefits you will have once you stop for good, will help you. Also you can try to write down how you feel after you PMO on one side of paper and to write potential benefits you can reach on the other side so you can read it every time you have urge and remember *its not worthy* (to relapse).Best of luck!

Other than exercise, what are some of the activities that could keep me away from porn? I realize I got too addicted. Now even dirty words could trigger a relapse. I need help! I want to get out of this!

  14. Feel free to list the negatives, but also the huge positives! For a start, you're only 17 and trying something most men will never attempt. Good for you.

Don't let relapses take over you. I know how it feels when relapsing, the main point with relapse is to not start watching P as usual.

When I became 14 I started with NoFap. In the beginning I tried to replace P with just M and tried a lot of different techniques, but they didn't work well. When I started with cold turkey, it took almost a whole year of relapses and failures to accomplish my biggest strike without PMO (280+ days).

Never give up! With relapses you learn your triggers and how to defeat them.

Here's a my favorite motivational quote:
"Today I will do what other won't, so tommorow I can do what others can't."
