The phone...the damn phone...

I have delete browser youtube and everything on my phone that can make me watch P. I even have my gf get a code on an app blocker for me connected to her email. After i did that i cant relapse even with my pc in front of me. I used to watch p on phone everyday but i dont know if it has anything to do with it

 

Hi Dub Bass, not sure if you would ever consider getting rid of your smart phone and getting a basic phone, at least for a little bit. the only thing that held me back was music and google maps for navigation, but in the end I got a flip phone and now porn is just not an option on it. It has helped me so much and now I don't really want to get another smart phone. I still have whatssap and there is an internet connection, although it is very slow to use and the screen is so small, which is the whole point. Anyway, just an idea.

 

I see, fair enough. Android is even worse because there is an option to log into a guest user account which is completely separate from the main account, so it bypasses any blocking software you have installed. I don't see apple releasing a dumb mode any time soon but I like the idea. I use a Mac at home and by deleting the admin account (which was a mistake but it works) and having a good accountability app, it is literally not possible to use it for porn, unless I ask my friend for the password. Anyway, I think these are just silly little hacks at the end of the day. I'm learning more and more that if I want to quite porn for good, the real change has to come from inside.

 

I think we are all going to have to live with the fact that porn is always seconds away. Its like quitting drinking with booze in the house. You can force austerities on yourself if you want to and that might even help. But ultimately you need to abandon your desire to look at porn, not your ability.
