Being a tough guy. Also today I am berry worried about my future. But there is only a way to get out...being better ...being less addicted ...be more productive.

I want to quit social media, too. Facebook, specifically. Thing is I don't want to lose touch with my friends, that's why I can't quit. Likewise, my online school involves the use of Facebook too :/ lmao

then you should restrict the use of Fb for like 20 mins. Set an alarm of 20 mins whenever you open FB,this might help in your situation.

Yeah, man. I have a newsfeed blocker in which I can't view anything whenever I log in to my facebook on chrome in my laptop. All is see is a quote that'll motivate me. Though, I still have access on my phone device. Thanks though. That looks like a good tip.

  7. I realize it's probably different for younger people,

but I've noticed that when someone ONLY communicates with me

    through messenger,

I feel relegated, and they almost never want to hang in real life.

Then I started to see FB like a dumping ground.

It's a holding pattern where people don't want to really be "real" friends,

but also don't want to be "totally" off of your radar.

But I don't want to be kept on the side.

And I don't care if they are up to date on me either.

    It's a waste of time.

Real friendships and relationships happen in person.

    I agree with @LOSEmyselftoSAVEmyself

Most of us can live without social media. Once you get away from it you won't miss it.

Personally I would use it, especially Instagram as a p-sub so FTS.

Better to focus on recovery and real relationships.

Cal Newport writes often about the benefits of letting go of social media, both in his blog and in different books (such as "Deep Work" and "Digital Minimalism"). He's also very knowledgeable on productivity, concentration, and getting work done.

A recent article on how Instagram can mess up our character:

I guess I'll be quitting soon when I finally get the courage and maturity to do so. Thanks for the message. Cheers buddy.

  11. As soon as you quit, you will have the courage and maturity.

You can't earn courage and maturity hiding behind a smart phone.

  12. Yes, I agree that IG is p-sub city.

And also, you are right that when you separate from social media you don't miss it.

I deleted facebook in March, I think, maybe April of this year.

I don't miss it, I don't think about it, and there is no change in my life being without it.

I sont see social media as bad things for reboot, it depends on the way you use them
For example on my two previous streaks i ended up on dating sites just for the propus of mo , and i did that and fucked up, but if i stay away from those things, social media is fine

One rule. Be aware that your willing power is not at top. In those moments be aware that tentations are stronger...is useless try to beat them. Those times are times were you need to flee and avoid them at all costs

Long distance. I think that is the first thing when you run. Don' bother too much about the speed but at least get some km done.
Once you are able to run distance it's time to get a little bit faster.
For me it's the same. The method I think it's fine but I am not working very hard.

Let's get better ...Let's become badass

That's a good idea. There are a lot of triggers on Instagram I noticed. I'm doing the same thing, but for me it's Reddit and Instagram. Good luck. You'll make it.

I have to start from the beginning.
Mobile addiction is worst addiction of all.
Determined to schedule my day from today.
I have to stop wasting my time in doing nothing than scrolling newsfeed, checking others status and photos , watching comedy videos , playing games and interviews of celebrity.
Its my new beginning from today.

Quiting Social media is definitely easier sad then done...I kept relapsing to registering on different dating apps, even though I never learned texting game or even really bothered getting to learn it (I.E begging for bad results almost subconsciously)

Now 6 day through of Nofap and free from everything but Telegram, which I in all honesty use to keep in touch with one girl from these apps...So I guess I do not really leave it alone, but not cruising anymore which is a pretty big relief.

Left FB/messenger long time ago and I am not even a little curios about Insta (seems like thotpocalypse nightmare to me)

    Burger,

just go to your facebook settings and download all your pictures (and info they log on you) and save it on your computer.

Then when you delete your account you at least have those.
