Does anyone else not really notice any negative consequences from minor relapses?

The way I used to always use porn and artificial sexual stimulation is I would have multiple tabs open, and there were these sites I would mainly go on in particular, this cam site and a social media site, then I would have loads of other tabs open of porn sites ext. My behaviour was edging, flicking about different tabs and hundreds of different content while masturbating for hours before I actually used to ejaculate. Sessions would usually last well over an hour before I actually ejaculated. There has actually been many times I have done this for over 5 hours before I have actually ejaculated, and these long edging PMO sessions went on like this all day sometimes and for days in a row sometimes.

I my opinion this is the worst behaviour.

But sometimes when I relapse these days I do go back to this sort of behaviour, maybe spending a day doing this, or sometimes two days ext.

But after this I quickly realise how bad this is, I begin to experience all the negative effects this causes, and then I go back to quickly stopping it again.

I guess the way I see this behaviour when I do this is I am basically dedicating my entire day to PMO when I go in to this sort of behaviour. Where as a quick relapse and that's you done isn't really dedicating your entire day to PMO.

But something I have noticed a handful of times over the last while is sometimes I have been relapsing and it has only lasted 5-10 minutes. So I have ended up on a few different porn videos for 5-10 minutes, I have masturbated to these then ejaculated and the whole thing has been over in 5-10 minutes, and I have managed to just stop doing it after this.

But something I have noticed when I have a relapsed like this is I don't really notice much negative effects from it. I can't say I really overall feel any worse in any way after this, and even days later I can't say that a relapse like this has caused me any negative issues in my life.

In no way I am advocating it is ok to relapse in any way at all. But I can definitely feel the difference when I go in to one of those edging binging sessions vs just a relapse on it for 5-10 minutes.

After those edging and binging sessions I can clearly notice the negative consequences. Where as when I have relapsed on it for 5-10 minutes and that's me done, I honestly can't say I have noticed much or any negative consequences from this.

Welp it kind of makes sense. When you PMO for 5 hours and realize what a waste it is youll be more depressed then when you spend 5 minutes doing it and get it over with and just move on with your day.

Yeah but I mean I actually experience other negative issues after this. Brain fog, concentration problems, a zombie like feeling. Then a good few days later anxiety sometimes increases, low mood sometimes increases. PIED can come back quite bad.

But with the 5-10 minute relapse literally none of this happens.

In my opinion, the shorter sessions are just as dangerous if not moreso than the longer ones for that exact reason. You don't notice the side effects so it becomes a slippery slope of talking yourself into more and more of those quick sessions just because they feel "harmless".

Any and every time you PMO, you are chemically and psychologically reinforcing porn use, whether you feel it or not. Any relapse is extremely harmful to the reboot/recovery process.

I definitely don't think they are more harmful than those longer sessions. But yeah I do get what you mean, with somewhat being tricked in to thinking it is basically harmless and doing it more often.

Btw this is something that rarely ever happens with me. But over the last while it is something that has happened a handful of times
