PIED doesn't instantly come back if you return to porn?

How long does it actually take a guy to develop PIED? This is likely a process of heavy PMO use that actually took years for PIED to develop. None of us will know for sure how long it took us to develop PIED. Most of us only actually realised we had PIED when it was really bad.

I would say it took me about 7 years of heavy PMO use before I actually noticed my dick wasn't working correctly. But I actually had severe porn induced erectile dysfunction by the time I really noticed something was wrong. As I was even getting ed to porn. That is how heavy I was using it. I had realised the more I was masturbating to porn the worse the ed was.

But I likely would of had issues with erectile functioning long before 7 years. But that being said I do still believe it would of at least been years of heavy PMO use before I actually developed PIED.

My PMO use was insanely heavy. I was a big edger and binger more or less as soon as I got in to high speed internet porn.

So like I said PIED is not something that is developed over night. It likely takes quite a long time of heavy PMO use before PIED is actually developed.

What actually used to worry me is if I ever got to the point of curing PIED that I would need to make sure I never ended up masturbating to porn and artificial sexual stimulation again. I would need to always remain on this strict lifestyle of never ending up on porn or artificial sexual stimulation or the PIED would return.

This isn't actually true. It should more be seen as if I return to my old ways the PIED will come back.

You need to realise if you have suffered with PIED, particularly quite severe PIED, and you have went through the process of rebooting, and you have reached the stage you no longer have PIED, you need to realise you have had very significant brain changes to get to that point. Returning to porn once after this, going in to a binge once after this wouldn't instantly cause all those brain changes to reverse and cause PIED to instantly return. Because remember how long it actually took you to develop PIED in the first place? Many years of heavy PMO use.

But now we also have something that we didn't have when we first began PMOing, when we first started the process of developing PIED, we now have something that we didn't have back then, awareness.

Even if we do relapse these days, even if we do end up in a binge these days, are any of us ever going to let ourselves go back to our old ways, back to our old behaviour? No likely these days if we relapse, if we binge, we are going to be upset about that, we are going to be aware of that, and we are going to try to not let that happen again. Where as when we first began PMOing on high speed internet we didn't have this awareness, we didn't feel upset when we PMOed, we didn't feel upset when we binged, we just continuously kept PMOing and binging.

Remember it was a long time of this behaviour that leaded us to devolving PIED. We didn't have any awareness, we just kept PMOing and binging.

But these days yes we might end up relapsing, we might even end up binging, but the awareness is going to be there, we are going to realise we can't continue doing that, and we will always try to get back on to the right path again.

So the likely hood of PIED returning after you have cured PIED isn't very likely. It's not a case of if I ever end up relapsing or binging again the PIED will return. It is actually a case of I can never go back to my old ways, to my old lifestyle or the PIED will return.

But because now we have the awareness, we just always try to live a life 100% clean from PMO anyway. We have the awareness of where PMO can lead, so after we relapse, after we binge, we get our self together and continue trying to remain on the right path. We don't just ignore the awareness we have and go back to our old lifestyle and allow PIED to develop again.

It doesn't matter to me because it takes me 10 years of PMO to have ED
