Thanks for recommendations! Actually I didn't like porn blockers because it creates some problems like blocking beneficial websites. But I gave it a try. For android I downloaded Applock+SPIN browser, for Windows I downloaded FortiClient and applied fapsecure. I tried to type my favourite porn words on Google searches and images and directly typed the porn webpages and it worked!. Now all hardcore porn images and videos blocked on my browsers. That's why I don't compain but after I applied FortiClient and Fapsecure, now I have some troubles with my Udemy Account. I can't see the recommended courses, but I can see the courses I bought. Homepage is a bit empty. I think that it is more about fapsecure because I tried to enter the website on my smartphone and nothing changed because fapsecure is active in my whole Google Account. Do you have any suggestion for that problem?

Additionally I agree with saying blockers only works when willpower depleted, sometimes we feel weaker and pornography is easily accessible. It is just one click away. If you want to use porn, in other word relapse, blockers doesn't work. It is really important to put the blockers on the brain but there is no harm in trying. These combinations works for my mainly visited websites including yourbrainonporn, nofap, rebootnation, youtube and more. I was hating the porn blockers blocks useful webpages like yourbrainonporn but I can open them.

I've just opened my udemy account and everything works fine. Fapsecure only blocks porn sites and forces safe search.

Have you tried visiting udemy from other browsers? or clearing your browser cache? maybe if you log out then login again the problem will be fixed.

If the problem persists, you could use an app called Fiddler. It will let you know which domains exactly are being blocked, so we could fix the problem.

Actually when I login my account, I don't see recommendations, if I don't login I can see. I tried with different browsers but it didn't work. But it is OK for me. If it really bothers me, I'll try Fiddler.

I tried to uninstall FortiClient and it did not work. I guess problem is more about my account. I don't think fapsecure is relevant, because it permanently opens safe search on Google. Thanks for your concern man.

The problem with these porn blocking applications is that if there is a will (huge PMO urge) there is a way to disable, especially if you're very tech savvy.

The best approach is to use an application like Cold Turkey for your Windows or Mac desktop OS's to completely shut down your computer for a set time period. In that time period use the time to practice healthy habits that can help you overcome your porn addition e.g. learning something new, meditation, exercise etc. In regards to mobile devices I'm sure there are apps out there which can lock your device and only allow phone calls.

I have added program which are nearly impossible to bypass like pluckeye, forceDNS and fapsecure. Fapsecure is removed for repairing, though.

I was going to add cold turkey to the list but it doesn't work well with pluckeye. I've contacted the creator of pluckeye regaarding this problem and hopefully, he will fix it in the future.

Yes, there are many app locks on the appstore and there are also safe browsers. I use spin browser with domobile app lock. Remember that if you use extreme measures, you'll just give up and reset everything.

Why should you be using porn blockers?

Because it’s really hard to quit porn when it’s just a click away.

There will be times when willpower will fail you. Say for example, you were very tired or had poor sleep one day.

What if you were having a bad day and you're thinking that watching porn might be a good idea?

We know very little about willpower. But we now know that the prefrontal cortex of the brain is primarily responsible for willpower.

So what damages your prefrontal cortex?

1-Not getting enough sleep.

2-Chronic stress

3-Masturbating to porn.(Most importantly)

That’s why when you relapse once, it becomes easier to relapse again and it becomes much harder to control yourself as you have temporarily damaged your prefrontal cortex. You have probably read this on YBOP, that masturbating to porn decreases the grey matter in your prefrontal cortex. Grey matter represents the cell bodies in the brain. So porn literally kills your prefrontal cortex where your willpower lives.

What happens when your prefrontal cortex is fucked up? This gets us to an important function of the prefrontal cortex: Concentration, that's why you get the worst brain fog ever when you relapse.

(Other diseases of the prefrontal cortex: Attention deficiency (ADHD) & Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder(OCD). )

When you start watching porn notice how your heart rate goes crazy! It will remain high for a few minutes but will eventually fall back to normal. I’m one of the people who believe that the heart is the center of emotion and not the brain. Maybe the brain is involved but the heart is the master of your emotions.

What does that have to do with anything?

That rush your heart gets when you watch porn, numbs your heart, it makes it insensitive to other emotions.

A family member may die, and you won’t feel shit, you will try as hard as you can to cry, but you just can’t feel anymore, your heart is dead.

Things that used to get you excited in the past, like hanging out with friends can’t get you excited now. At this point, only porn can.

But not even “average porn” can get you excited now, the old porn doesn’t make your heart go as crazy as before, you have to watch novel and weird porn to get the same effect.

We need to stay away from this drug as much as we can. If all what a porn blocker can do is to increase the number of clicks between you and watching porn, so why not give it a try? Why not give your willpower an aid?

Porn filters are there to stop you when you are thinking you can’t take it anymore, it can stop you when you’re about to do something you’ll regret.

DO NOT use porn filters as a crutch, they are just there to help you when you’re weak.

If you depend on them too much, you will always end up finding a way around and watching porn.

I highly recommend you find a friend or a family member to enter and hold your passwords.

Saving your passwords

The best method is the last.

1-You could let a friend or a family member to directly enter the passwords and it's very important to tell them to save it somewhere, for example, using the "Note" app on their phone.

2-Another option is to type a random password in notepad e.g. lsfdjaljfalsjfaljf8y7ysfy7
then copy that password and paste it in the application you want to lock like forticlient for example, then paste it again in a message to your friend, then finally delete that message on your end so only your friend could see it.

Then copy this shit and paste it in the application you want to lock e.g. Forticlient.

Why I think this is the best way?
because people, I mean kids, could trick their friends and tell them that they need the password urgently while they only want to watch porn. But here, you will have no choice but to wait.

Why FortiClient?
FortiClient has one of the LARGEST website categorization database. You will never find a porn site or a proxy site that’s not blocked by FortiClient. So why not use FortiClient alone?

That’s because the latest version of FortiClient enforces “strict youtube filtering” which is different from “moderate youtube filtering” that Qustodio and other filters use. Why is that a problem? Because strict filtering sucks, it blocks random safe youtube videos. (Note that moderate filtering also blocks random videos but at a much lower rate)

So we are going to use an older version of Forticlient: 6.0.2. It has the same web filtering features of the latest version of FortiClient except that it doesn’t filter search engines or youtube. Don't worry, we will deal with the safe search using fapsecure.

It also blocks tons of porn sites and proxy sites, in case you somehow bypassed Forticlient (which is highly unlikely if it's have been locked with a password).

*Only if you're using cleanbrowsing family DNS, fapsecure will:
1- Disable youtube restricted mode enforced by cleanbrowsing.
2- Unblock reddit.com and at the same time images and videos will remain blocked by cleanbrowsing.
So it's optimized to be used with forceDNS (see below)

Hint: If you want to filter youtube while using both ForceDNS and Fapsecure then see the pluckeye method below.

You can't uninstall it, so it's effects are PERMANENT.

Note that it will restart explorer.exe and that's completely normal to protect fapsecure files.

It's problems: YouTube "restrict moderate" mode disables youtube comments and can block random safe videos (which proved to be very annoying).

But you could run fapsecure, which returns youtube back to normal.

**Adult.exe will enforce cleanbrowsing adult DNS for all your computer's Network interfaces(Ethernet/WiFi/Modem...) PERMANENTLY.

You could always change from adult DNS to family DNS by running Family.exe. BUT YOU WILL NEVER BE ABLE TO SWITCH BACK TO ADULT FILTER.

Doesn't block proxy/VPN domains nor mixed sites like Reddit.

PS. If you've created a rule on your router to enforce any DNS other than cleanbrowsing , you may need to add a rule allow your computer to connect to cleanbrowsing DNS to avoid any conflict.

4-Pluckeye (customize it to block only porn sites):

Advantages:

*Works even if you are using a VPN/proxy extension.

*Nearly impossible to bypass. You'll have to wait for a certain amount of time(delay).

*An additional layer of defense that will make you too lazy to bypass the filters.

7-Click on pluckeye extension in top right corner in chrome or firefox and change installation level to 2 then You must restart all of your browsers for them to work again. Note that pluckeye only supports chrome and firefox.

Also note that by default, pluckeye blocks all images and videos. But the settings file that you imported only blocks porn/proxy sites. So you need to see if images and videos load normally.

To lock your settings you can use delay or expedite functions of pluckeye.

Delay: means you can't allow websites(porn sites in our case) or change pluckeye settings or uninstall pluckeye except after a period of time that you have set. But do not choose a long delay except when you are comfortable enough with pluckeye.

Expedite: means a friend can approve your requests to change pluckeye settings or allow websites so you don't have to wait for delay to pass.

Then Invite your friend to approve your requests: https://u.pluckeye.net/invitations/new

Expedite function could be used with a relatively long delay if you don't trust yourself.

I had to mention qustodio because it's worth trying and you can install it together with any other filter.

Why Qustodio isn’t enough to be used alone?

As some “tricky” sites allow you to access porn, and not all of them are blocked by Qustodio. But there is a great chance you don't know those sites.

1- Call your ISP and ask them to filter your home internet from porn sites. You could do the same for your mobile data ISP.

Stage One:

Login to your router by visiting 192.168.1.1 in your web browser.

Username: admin

Password: admin

If incorrect look at the back of your router or google your router’s model.

In the router’s page, look for:

Primary DNS server

Secondary DNS server

(Routers are different, so DNS options could be anywhere, keep looking)

Change the primary DNS server to 185.228.168.168

and change the secondary to 185.228.169.168

Then save.

(PS You could use whatever DNS you like. The DNS above is Cleanbrowsing family DNS. I prefer it because it forces safe search on Google and other search engines, also youtube. You can report sites that should be blocked to this email: [email protected] , and they will be blocked within 24 hours.)

Stage two:

Now all devices connected to your router will have filtered internet. But anyone could bypass the filter by changing the DNS on his device. To solve this problem we will create some simple rules on our router to block other DNS servers.

Go to IP filter and add those rules: (you can modify them according to your preferred DNS server)

N.B If your router doesn’t support blocking IP ranges, It won’t work.

Stage three:

Put a few drops of Superglue on the router’s RESET button while it’s still on. (to avoid gluing the fan!)

Change the router login password. (A family member should do this or a friend using Teamviewer for example).

OS X
These methods are for OS X HIGH SIERRA AND ABOVE
There are two ways to do it:
1-Forfeit your administrator privileges.
This will allow you to use Forticlient, Pluckeye, OS X built-in web filter and also to lock your DNS.
OR
2-Keep your administrator privileges & use qustodio OR pluckeye as :
*Qustodio is very difficult to remove without it's username and password EVEN if you're an admin.
*Qustodio is INCOMPATIBLE with pluckeye and Forticlient.(web pages won't load properly/very slow)
-I always recommend using more than one filter. So only use Qustodio if you can't afford losing your admin privileges.

3-Pluckeye (customized to block porn only)

*Additional layer of protection that's difficult to bypass if you somehow get the admin's account password (will be explained later in the final step)
*Works even if you are using a VPN/proxy extension.
*Nearly impossible to bypass. You'll have to wait for a certain amount of time(delay).
*An additional layer of defense that will make you too lazy to bypass the filters.

1-Download and install pluckeye: https://www.pluckeye.net/try-it.html

2-Download our custom settings file:

3-Copy the file you've just downloaded to your Desktop.

4-Open Terminal from applications (equivalent to windows command prompt)

You must clear your settings, so backup your settings if you want.

Locking all your settings
AND enabling the built in filter (optional)

We will create another administrator account then remove the admin privileges from your current account. A friend/family member should change the new account's password.
This will prevent anyone from uninstalling forticlient or changing system settings such as the DNS settings.

The built in Web filter ("Try to limit access to adult sites") is optional if you want to give it a try.
It is an additional layer of protection but can block some safe websites which contain keywords like "porn" and even "oral". So you should add porn addiction sites to the exclusions:
Nofap.com
Yourbrainrebalanced.com
rebootnation.org

Bro i have android mobile i want to block all porn sites and please suggest some useful things which has not uninstall or reverse .Also i can buy premium membership of apps but not any one work if you know some good blocking apps then suggest me please and those apps can run one or more devices ..

Hey, I have a problem. So I installed AppLock as you suggested in the past. I use it to block my configuration (so I can't disable block overlays) but I found this weakness: if you restart your android, you have a very long window (like 30 secs) to disable android overlays because applock doesn't start yet. This can be abused. I managed to disable my app (the one that blocks my whole phone during my weak hours) AND applock. What do you suggest? Right now I'm busy doing productive things and I don't have time for urges, but I DON'T want to have this trick to exist.
I should be able to block my whole phone settings during its start.

Any ideas?

I want to update fapsecure but I can't access the device where I keep its code right now.

Regarding forticlient, not everyone knows that trick. So, it's better to remove it from your comment and I will work on a bypass fix as soon as I can.
