The Lord of the Rings Challenge

Feeling much better. I get most of my recreation only on Saturday and Sunday. The work days are extremely draining, mostly because of my busy job. Plus is my sleep cycle and diet pretty messed up, still...
First week without PMO is nearly over. Damn I wasted so much time in the last weeks. On the worst days severyl hours for sure.

 

I see a lot of "work is hard" posts. When we get tired from work, stressed from it, or something of that nature, the slope gets slippery. Please be careful, and so will I try. Take care of your needs, like rest and water, and stay off the porn. All the free stuff is illegal anyway, and if that is not enough to have kept us from watching, it says something. It's not about our ability. Not to do something requires no work.

Changing a habit, on the other hand, is a little more complicated. I am sorry if I do not have the solution, but I am reading about it, coming here, and will keep doing so, I hope daily now.

On another subject, not talking about anyone tired or otherwise struggling, because those are real problems too:
Were we not willing to take this seriously enough that if a cop found out we could still breathe easily? I hope it is okay to ask, because I think it is a good question. I'm just going to leave it at that and let everyone, especially myself, work out how to respond. My hope is that no one will become overwhelmed with guilt, and that we can all keep a sober mind about all this.

Thank you for your polite note and for sharing your struggle. Coming here reading posts like yours has saved me from relapse time & time again.

I hope you believe me when I tell you that I do not have any personal or religious association with this video clip. I had said that I could not find much online regarding objectification, bar this clip, so that is why I attached it. So please take me at my word when I say that I am not proselytising, or attempting get anyone to change from one belief system to another.

Scanning the last couple of pages of this forum, you can find all manner of varied belief systems expressed here - everything from Taoist wisdom tradition video links & alaister crowley book titles in signatures, to Rocky Balboa blessing himself in his corner, to Forest Gump, etc...

Should we censor all of these forms of expression because they might be misconstrued as proselytising to a belief system different to our own? Would that not then be an indirect form of proselytising itself?

I agree wholeheartedly that anyone posting here to recruit people to a cause external to NoFap should be prevented from doing so, but I hope you can see that that is not what I am doing.

We are on this forum not because of the beliefs we don't share, but because of those we do (that porn addiction is a big problem). So I hope we can continue to share this journey together as brothers in this Fellowship. I can honestly say, if I had not replied to you tonight, I would have relapsed. So thank you again.

Perhaps, when the ring has finally been destroyed in the fires of Mount Doom, we can go for a pint and some pipe-weed back in the Shire and reminisce about our adventures

I know you were not proselytizing, but the rules state that we are not to post things of a religious nature, as I understand it. I am going to remove my post quoting yours, and anything else that involves religion, regardless of what anyone else has done. I see it as totally necessary.

Day 3

 

Day 18. I had a great day. Got good sleep. Need to go to bed really soon just checking in. Went shooting guns with a friend and I helped teach a kind lady how to be safe while handling a gun. I finished cleaning them and I have had a ton of fun doing it.

 

The Uruk-Hai period is now over and I continue my journey as a Hobbit.

 

2 weeks!

 

For P I'm on like day 700 and something! So way too high to join, and am just here admiring how much went into this challenge. LoTR is my favourite.
