I don't understand why you want to try semen retention ?
Maybe you think that if you're more frustrated, the addiction will go ?
    I think the opposite. ^^

  3. Dude, semen retention is healthy.. Huh? I'm compulsive porn/masturbate addict.

Have you try to masturbate 2/3 times a week without porn ? (Just with positive thoughts)
Yes, semen retention seems healthy, but it's not the answer to porn addiction. But you can try if you're already cured. ;)
The only answer to porn addiction is to stop porn in my opinion. It's the most important !

yep, i didn't ejaculate from 6th December 2019:) How? By stopping PMO completely. I didn't experience anything unusual and I feel great. Don't feel the need for PMO at all (and before that I couldn't hold out for more than 3 days).

  8. Man I haven't tried masturbate 2 times a week without porn I always binge and binge. I'm not cured, so.. Stop porn?

  9. Mate that's where I'm.. Can't go without pmo 3 days! I need this, I join you is there place for me? I can imagine you feel a lot better

You just need to masturbate without porn and without imaginate strange things.
The commeon mistake is to think "if i feel better, i Am cured".
But when you start to masturbate, you still want to imaginate porno and you fail.
The problem is not to masturbate, it's to associate masturbation and porn. There is no addiction to masturbation (Or it's rare).
If you focus on ONE rule : no porn, you will succeed. And it's the only problem. No phone and computer when you masturbate in the same room, and no référence with images who pollute your brain. Good Luck.

  11. Okey, so no porn.

  12. You're wrong. There are plenty of people on this forum who struggle with just masturbation, no porn. Masturbation messes with the chemistry of your brain and due to our biology, it's inherently addictive.

Yes masturbation can be addictive but porn seems to be even more addictive than that.
The point is that masturbation alone is not really a problem for most people doing it.

No masturbation is a strong weapon with Compulsive sexual behavior.
    In particular :
So if you have a compulsive use of pornography/masturbation , evaluate to No masturbate

When I was watching porn as well as masturbate I would do it more often.
I thought I would just masturbate to see how it goes. Without porn.
I did masturbate when I got horny but then I kind of wasn't at all in the mood for that. And I just kind of didn't feel like doing either for over a week.

So I don't know. Perhaps it's just me, or if you struggle with PMO, trying to masturbate alone might help you with cutting it down at least?
You know, you don't eat an elephant in one sitting - you eat it one bite at a time.
If you have a choice between trying to masturbate alone, or masturbate with porn, with the latter making you feel some bad side effects, maybe trying the former is a better option? At the very least, you would choose the lesser evil if M too makes you feel some negative side effects.

You could always tough it out, if you can, and just go semen retention, but seems like most people just can't. So I think that trying to be creative could be the answer. Because you would be changing your habits slowly and that's easier than suddenly changing everything.
    Suit yourself.

  17. It's totally fair to try and quit P first, then move on to MO (EDIT: that's what I did).

Let's just acknowledge that MO on its own also has its side effects.

    Perhaps they do. Perhaps not.
But even if they do then that would be less side effects than P.
The reason I wouldn't go for all at once is because it's too much and you are bound to fail doing it that way.

  19. You're also objectively wrong since there are people here who quit all at once and succeeded. Just go to the Success Stories.

One in a hundred I believe.
I didn't say OP cannot give it a shot. But if someone does PM compulsively even though they don't want to then it's because there is a big reason they do so. And more often than not it is not enough to just tell yourself "I am quitting" because this compulsion is basically rooted deep in the brain that is not logical, if that makes sense. You simply do not get to decide that you go full cold turkey and you never do something.
We are not robots, we are a bit more complex than that.
+ if I am not mistaken, the people who managed to do that had some really big reasons to stop. Reasons that were bigger than reasons to continue. If I remember correctly, one man kept watching porn and M because why not, until he had sex several times and it turned out he had erectile dysfunction. That made him realise how serious it got and that was the reason he was able to just quit without relapses.
I haven't read a story where someone quit an addiction, any addiction, with their will alone. It was always when the thing got too out of hand.
