    Hi everyone!
Can someone who isn't doing NOFAP for religious reasons help me with my porn addiction? I just relapsed and watched porn 4 times in less than 48 hours, I feel like I can't do this. I'm stuck in life, I'm not working hard toward my dreams and time is going fast.
    PLEASE HELP ME!

  4. what type of help you looking for? I dont do this for religious reasons. I do this to be the best version of my self. I have a picture of myself in my head of who i could be and should be for myself not what anyone else says. Then i think of how fapping is stopping me from becoming that. That gives me motivation to move forward.

That is the best reason that i can come up besides religion saying it is sinful and against god.

Any questions ask me or anyone on the forum. Its a good thing to ask.

I just don't know why I keep failing. It's been one year after I started my Nofap journey. Do you have any relapse prevention techniques that you can share with me? What do you do when you have urges?

    Hi

I'm an atheist. First of all, don't feel bad It is normal to fail, and the firsts days are the most difficult. There are a lot of reasons for doing Nofap which are not based on religion. Learning about the effects porn addiction can bring to your health is useful. When you are starting Nofap, try to avoid electronic devices for a couple of days. You can also focus your energy in doing activities you like, if you are busy you are less likely to think in PMO. Keep your mind away from the triggers, including pictures, texts, videos (a youtube video with girls, photos of women on social media, for example). When I have a strong urge, I stop breathing as long as I can, then my body focuses in the lack of oxygen instead of the urge.

We are still in the struggle.

  7. I'm not religious either. I have felt that stuck feeling that you are feeling now as I am sure many here have experienced too. I have a few thoughts that guide me on my journey and I hope maybe they can help you form your own ideas on how to beat your addiction.

1 - Never give up trying to quit. Failure to me is letting addiction beat me. At the beginning I failed many times and felt hopeless but you have to keep going. The alternative is wasting the rest of your life not reaching your full potential.

2 - Never peek. Peeking is the first step towards failure. If you can control yourself and never peek for any reason than you have no excuses.

3 - Internet detox. Give up mindless browsing the internet where you can come across porn images or people who are lost in their own degeneracy. I only use the internet for learning and nofap.

4 - Eat healthy and exercise.

5 - Get out of bed early and start the day being productive. Be tired by bedtime.

Be positive and don't be too hard on yourself. We are all humans with weaknesses but we all have a great strength inside us to do great things.

Good luck friend! You can beat this!

  8. A lot of us have experienced relapsing and binging. Once you relapse, you feel like it's all worthless, so why not watch more porn.
So take a day and feel shitty. Maybe get out and get some fresh air. Then, start again.
You will get all kinds of tips and techniques on how to deal with your urges from guys here.
But it all comes down to finding that belief within you that says, "No more porn. Enough is enough." This has nothing to do with will power.
You will be amazed at how resilient (not strong) you can be when you truly put your mind to it. Like everyone else, you probably believed you were "trying." Well, you've got to try harder. You have to really and truly believe that porn is fucking you up and will continue to fuck you up unless you take charge.
You don't want to wake up when you are 25, or 30 or 35 or older and still be addicted to this shit.
Ask yourself, "What is the worst thing that will happen to me if I don't use porn today?"

    Hi elvagoazul,
Thank you so much for being supportive and for giving me advice. Your advice are really effective, how did you achieve 90 days of Nofap? did you see any changes in your life after doing that?

    Hi The Passenger,
I really appreciate your advice. I'm tired of this vicious cycle, I'm trying to improve my life during this quarantine but I keep failing to do that. If you know any accountability group here on Nofap or discord please let me join and good luck you too :)

    Hi Ogikubo,
    Thank you for your reply.

That is what I'm afraid of. What is even worst is not achieving my other goals.

I feel like I don't have the tools to recover from this addiction. I'm doing this alone, I can't have real sex with women, is it even possible to do Nofap without having a partner...

Thank you again for your support :)

  12. great advice all around hope we all can help u squirrel. Use any of this that makes sense to you. Definitely dont stay anywhere near your computer or alone with your phone when urges hit. Open a window, curtains get some fresh air. So u see the outside real world. Go out into it and just walk or run. An hour away from those temptations can make all the difference.

  13. I'm not part of any accountability group but there is a section of this forum that might interest you: https://forum.nofap.com/index.php?forums/accountability-partners.7/

I think guys set up groups on other mediums like WhatsApp, discord ect.

    No problem.
I achieved 90 days after several attempts. At that time, I take Nofap more seriously and I also did changes in my life, avoiding triggers mainly. And I saw a lot of benefits after that, but they start to appear since my first streaks. I hvae more energy now, my depresion is almost gone, I have more time during the day, I feel good overall, I have more motivation and confidence, and I'm also healing from PIED.
