Hey all. I want you all to know that it is crucial you read all of this.
What you guys are dealing with has nothing to do with PMO addiction of over-masturbating whatsoever. Sure PMO is bad especially when it is excessive, but it is not what is causing your symptoms. Many of you after O, experience brain fog, anxiety, low motivation/drive, cognitive impairment, depression, visual disturbances, light sensitivity, irritability, hopelessness, anhedonia, social withdraw.
I'm here to say again. NONE of it has anything to do with O or even PMO. What you all are dealing with is a form of Post Orgasmic Illness Syndrome. (POIS) There is no cure to pois at all and many doctors do not know that it exists. Only few doctors know about it and luckily my primary doctor here in Tucson was able to diagnose me. Please research it right now. In fact if you have never heard of this syndrome, I STRONGLY suggest you spend 5-10 mins checking it out on google or researching about it before continuing to read this post or you will be confused.
There are a few clusters to this syndrome, Some people experience physical symptoms like muscle aches, sneezing and fevers while others experience more cognitive symptoms like anxiety, low motivation, depression, and brain fog. Some unlucky people experience both physical and mental symptoms. Originally it was thought to be an autoimmune reaction to your own sperm but that was later debunked by researcher Waldinger. Right now nobody knows the cause and there are quite a few theories going around.
Many people on the forum have taken anti inflammatories, antihistamines, Niacin, Vitamin D, or B complex about an hour before O and have had massive relief in their symptoms. These supplements both are capable of helping the mental symptoms of pois and Physical. The fact that anti inflammatories and antihistamines help some people, suggests this syndrome is auto immune, but not an autoimmune reaction to sperm. Instead the immune system gets fired up for another reason. which then leads to inflammation and neurotransmitters getting knocked out of balance.
Pois obviously isn't just immune for some people. I do believe there are different causes to pois. Some people on the forum report having issues like IBS and gut health issues, and when they get those fixed, their pois goes away. Some people report that once they face hidden emotional trauma, their pois is eliminated.
You guys walk around thinking that you develop super powers by not fapping but the truth is those arn't superpowers. Thats how you should feel all the time. Your definition of superpowers is the definition of "normal" to people without pois.
Like I said we don't exactly know why the immune system goes haywire after we O. I have had countless and infinite blood tests which have all revealed nothing. I've even been to mayo clinic and have been tested and looked at by almost all specialities. My symptoms after O used to last 2 days but now last 6. These symptoms have limited my potential all my life and limited my grades and school performance especially, however when I take the mentioned supplements, My symptoms are reduced from 6 days to 3. I am positive that this is an immune/inflammatory reaction which domino effects into neurotransmitters becoming out of whack. Many on the pois forum do well with anti inflammatories and have noticed a huge reduction in their depression and social anxiety after O. But I have a major theory that I will post about in another hour as to why this syndrome happens. I will update with a link to it.
