I am here on nofap for more than 2 years now Had some decent streaks ..2 times more than 4 months... ..BUT All these streaks were all about avoiding triggers and counting days... And Whenever any trigger came I gave in..

.. And The problem with me is literally every attractive women is a trigger for me.. whether be it on Road, T.V., Movie, posters, youtube ,insta , fb etc.. Literally everwhere.. It dosent need to be Anything SEXUAL even if there is a pretty women I get triggered Instantly and get urges... and in result of this.. i have stopped watching movies, T.V shows, Youtube, pics , Everything that has pretty females... I know I cant live like it... I m not a monk I want to live life like normal people without constantly thinking of fapping and instantly getting urges to fap when seeing any girl on T.v...What should I do I need ur suggestions on it? & if I face them I feel like I got dopamine & I will not progress into recovery because I am getting aroused by facing them....WHAT SHOULD I DO ???

Its fine to find women atrractive but i don't believe that you find every girl atrractive you have to train your brain to look intellectual beauty and emotional connection then you make yourself atrractive to women. You have to gain respect. Be strong

I'm not very experienced and have trouble with dealing with triggers myself. I will say that I used to have occasional streaks that always ended with me relapsing, but what has really made a huge difference and I think is starting me on fully quitting was putting a web filter on my phone which blocks instagram and twitter. Instagram is horrible for rebooting imo.

I have limited social media and have not doing PMO for the last couple of days. I am feeling better already. These days will turn into weeks, weeks into months and months into years. I am yet to revive and find new hobbies to build my life around with interesting goals and exciting moments. I now know the difference between aloneliness and loneliness.

I dont think avoiding everything works....sooner or later u have to face them.there would be time when u will have no other option but to be in front of trigger then what would we do??

I saw a discussion about this yesterday, sorry I completely forget where it was. But a few contributors made some strong points for facing triggers rather than simply avoiding them. Of course avoiding them can help sometimes but eventually you have to find a way to stop the triggers so to speak. You could avoid it for a year then fall when exposed. I think this was true for me in the current streak. When I started and urges were strong to mo, to check out new content etc, I kept asking myself 'what's the Point?' And I repeated this in my head every time i had an urge to even look at a webcite that had achance of having p-subs. This may not work for everyone but it helped me to stop some known triggers.

You'll have to find ways to stay clean by yourself. Whether it's through seriously convincing yourself to quit, telling people around you, seeking professional help etc. But it's your de vision to stop this overall. Writing it repeatedly on nofap won't help. Otherwise life will make that decision for you when you realise that youve lost evrything because of pmo.

Sorry but 'facing triggers' is just terrible advice for a P addict. During the initial stages you should be aiming to reduce triggers to an absolute minimum. The initial stages being the first 3 - 6 months. It is madness to think you can just face triggers suddenly and be ok with them, all that sounds like to me is a justification for using P.

Your brain will heal and eventually you will be able to handle triggers much easier. It isn't forever and it doesn't mean you can never watch TV or use social media.

If you are going to try this by trying to live with your triggers during the initial stages of your reboot, you will not get far. Your brain is hypersensitive to triggers for starters. The alteration to DeltaFosB makes your decision making and will power impaired and then also you have the actual withdrawals (if you are experiencing those) which can make cravings go through the roof and people are thinking they can just 'learn to live with triggers' at this early stage? Good luck.

I have gone 4 months once and again 5 months... I relapsed because i was triggered just by image.... because whole time I was avoiding them.. and when they came in front of me I relapsed because I had not seen them for a while.. and that had become a big trigger for me... If i will be facing them since starting It will get used to see them without fapping after that

By facing triggers I am not talking about Seeing sexual images or scenes.... Its just normal women pics and movie scenes

all that tells me is that your brain has not had enough time to heal during that 4-5 month period. After a certain amount of time you no longer get immediately triggered by random images
