Running, playing the piano, cooking, listening to music, podcasts

 

If listening to music, cooking, watching TV/Netflix etc. are considered hobbys, then I have like a thousand hobbys lol. But seriously, something I could consider a hobby of mine is creating games.

 

My hobby is learning computer science - I can justify that.

This was the reason why I started learning programming. I created a 2D game with gamemaker which required no programming knowledge, but then I wanted to create 3d games, and so I started learning programming languages, first was batch but I soon realized that batch is not at all useful for game development, but after few months, I was no longer interested only in creating games, instead I also wanted to create websites, so I learnt basic web development(html, sql, little bit css and javascript), but more than creating websites - I liked the idea of hacking websites, so I tried to become a CEH(failed miserably), than i wanted to create software and I was also interested in AI - so I learnt Python - the first language which can be truly called a programming language because others languages that I learnt like html or sql were not at all programming languages. I was able to learn it because it was easier than java or c++. I am doing this from the time I was 11 years old, I spent countless nights trying to learn programming on my own.
If you want to spoil a kid's future forever - give him fast internet along with links of PMO sites. That is enough to ruin everything. It is obvious when you spent so much time on internet from that age, you will encounter dark side; But anyway, I had came out of that hell and was quit fast that never experienced any type of diseases that I came to know about from this forum, still relapses many times(especially in this lockdown), but never with P, I am aiming to leave M also.
It is also not that programming is the only thing I do, I also love writing journal, but I feel more satisfied when I write it in my mother tongue language.

 

@GhostRider@11 Kinda jealous of your effort to learn programming there. I currently use Construct 3 for programming but often it's more frustrating than fun to get something done. I have dozens and dozens of game ideas, many of which only exist on paper. I did make a bunch of games, but since I got 'stuck' with certain coding bits I was never able to sell the games to publishers. After all you can't sell a game that's incomplete or has bugs. What I like most about creating games is shaping the game, bringing an idea to life, and ofcourse the fact that you can bring joy to people.

I've been thinking of teaming up with someone, but it's my depression that's holding me back mostly. I know by now that I have recurring 'episodes' of depression, and during those times it can be difficult to motivate yourself. As a matter of fact, I'm reluctant to reveal that I suffer from depression as I know it can be very bothersome if you want to work together. I guess I just don't want to be 'rejected' because of my depression. In any case, it's a fun pastime and I'm still confident it can make you money, but I'd have to get around finishing them completely first.

potentially everything, always been a so-called "multipotentialite". I can go deep in birdwathcing for a mont and then, after i learned everything i wanted to, switch interest. But i have some interests that almost always are with me: beauty, art, furnitures, clothes, SEGA, Sonic the Hedgehog, videogames in general, medicine, nutrition, gaining consciousness, sci-fi, quantum physics, how to make miracles. never enjoed sports that entail using any kind of balls.

 

I like drumming and enjoying music. Also, finding flaws in religion.
