That's a tricky one. Actually I'm not sure. I would say, if you listened actively with the intension of getting aroused, then it is kind of a PSub. Otherwise I wouldn't worry to much about it. Maybe try to distract yourself the next time, though.

 

Yeah, I can relate. Last year I was working out of town and I stayed in a hotel where the couple in the next room was going at it. I definitely listened and was aroused as hell. Of course, in my mind, the woman was insanely hot, which probably wasn't the case at all. But what frustrated me was that I didn't invite that trigger--it was pushed on me against my will. But I guess we have to learn how to deal with those kinds of triggers, too.

Had the same problem before I moved out. They have been going at it for like 3 hours straight (or at least it sounded like it). This was an insanely huge trigger for me. More than looking at videos.

If you go out looking for trouble, you will find it. But what if it comes knocking like in your situation without your request? well I'd say try to distract yourself, put on some headphones and turn up the volume or go out for a walk. If you sit there with your ear against the wall then it's kind of a bit wierd. If it's a real problem like they are properly going at it night after night and you can hear your wall thumping, then you would have grounds to file a complaint with environmental health who could provide the couple with a noise abatement order or anti social behaviour order. It's not unknown for neighbours to be at their wits end due to a couples over enthusiastic love making, Yes we get it, you like sex but your next door neighbour doesn't want to hear all the details and the pet names you call each other! I've seen it reported in the news before, a couple getting in trouble with the law because they made their neighours life hell, plus the whole street could hear them at it.

 

I don't think it's a reset but If you intentionally listen & get aroused, your still releasing dopamine in your brain, thus can be considered as a relapse but that's totally up to you . You always have to be ready for situations like this whether it means you have music & headphones with you, a book to keep your mind off of fantasies, or a schedule where your able to go outside or work out for the day to wear yourself out so you won't have enough energy to want to listen to sex,watch porn,etc.etc.

I don't know about you guys, but it always happens when I actually wanna sleep. I get so angry that fap is the last thing on my mind. Of course then I'm just mad and can't sleep so not the best alternative lol.

 

I experienced the same before. Especially if you quit porn over one month a while your brain becomes more sensitive to everything, all senses opens and this can be a trigger. When I go to the bed this was happening in nights, maybe it was continued for hours they were screaming like crazy. The real problem was probably he has a bedroom near me and he was hearing conversations with my friends on the phone, my alarm clock etc. We was hearing our both life in every detail and this makes some trouble about privacy. If you can try to sleep, if you don't listen a good music or podcast with your earphones
