brothers, i fell into Sauron hands.

has you know on the last days i was feeling very tired and exausted, that led me to slack my reboot system, peak lust and drift a lot. while on the first days i was able to shake it off, the obsession come back again strongly and i wear the PMO ring.

still i manage almost 6 months sober, which is very good, and more than 1/3 of the challenge was done :)

funny thing was, when i was watching lust, i had to stop for a while and go outside taking care of some business, and while i was outside i felt very alive, very happy, not sluggish at all, no social anxiety and i felt confident.
this was because the brain had a massive dose of dopamine before, so i was feeling very happy.

i think that´s what we must focus on, doing stuff that boosts our dopamine, like universal man said :). we just have to take porn out of the equation, because that´s the wrong way of getting dopamine. plus we are addicts, PMO is a behaviour that we will never have under control, let us remember.

as for my exaustion that lead to peaking and starting the downfall, i´m gonna make some changes in my life to prevent burnout symphoms again.

ironically nofap takes a lot of my energy and time, an amount of 60 to 90 minutes daily. so from now on, i will not do any individual upgrades on the challengers, i will just post a general post with the upgrades and some inspiration which i also use to boost myself ;). that will cut my time and energy spent here, alot :). however i strongly recommend the members of the Fellowship to post daily and celebrate each time they rank up or a landmark in Middle Earth is achieved :). i will also reply to individual posts if i feel to, so i´m not gonna have a cold aproach here, not at all. i´m the same guy, just with less intensity :)

as for the challenge, it´s possible my brothers and sisters, i have no doubt about it. i achieved 6 months sober, so i know i can stay my whole life sober and destroy the damn ring. and you too!!!

    0 but happy :)

    Let´s go!

I am sorry to hear about your relapse. You have been an inspiration, and I know that it sucks, but I had almost put you on this impossible to reach pedestal, and now I realize that you are but human like me, and that even the best of us mess up from time to time. So thank you (not for messing up, but for being human and showing that with enough effort, we can beat Sauron, even if he manages to knock us down here and there).

I relapsed again after nearly three days, Saturday night, (a couple times actually). The first time to porn and the second time to bikini photos and masturbation. I am 1.5 days clean now and feeling alright. I realized that the accountability app I use allows me to add keywords, so now if I use certain search engines, or certain words, my mom gets an automatic warning message. I tried to get around it Saturday night, and it alerted my mom. I told her I was testing the system (I was, just not with good intentions), and now that I know it works, I put in all the keywords that I have used to find nude photos or bikini photos in the past, and I hope this shall work to keep me honest. It is frustrating really because I cannot get to what my addiction craves without triggers the alarm, but that is also good because it is one more barrier between me and porn.

(For those who are curious, I use Accountable2You which costs I think $6.99 a month and works really well. You just need an accountability partner who will call you out when you engage in PMO).

    Best,
    Mathman1994

    Day 17
I've been trying to overcome not only pm habits but also playing video games habits. Because of them, I was spending time in front of the computer too much and that was increasing the chance of relapse. I've not been playing video games for a week and I feel better. I draw sketches more often, I'm getting better and better at it. However, I have to admit something. I'm watching a football match (Netherlands vs Italy) and I want to download FM20 and to play it so hard :D Of course, it is not going to happen :)
    Have a great day everyone!

@RiseToGreatness Sorry that happened, but like you told me, it is a minor blow and 6 months is fantastic growth. I agree with your decision to cut back on the time spent on this thread, as time is limited, and so is your energy. Onwards and upwards, my friend. We will destroy the pmo ring yet!

@RiseToGreatness Your positivity in the face of relapse is encouraging, while you are not ignoring the problem. Learn from the mistakes that led to your relapse, and get right back onto the journey. Do not binge. You can do this! Also, six months are still under your belt without pornography or masturbation. You did not lose that just because you relapsed. You have the experience, and now abstaining should be easier.

As for me, I have another day free!

We can do this! Let's go!

I am gutted more than I should be tbh; maybe that's because I believe that after 90 days we should sort of work to leave nofap behind and start focusing more on building life in general. Anyway, this process has humbled me and I know that I haven't started to understand this journey at all. From being cocky in my first streak a couple months ago, to relapsing and going on a chaser binge for almost two months. This reinforces the fact that I will encounter several unknowns. It teaches me that vigilance is key forever really as you have mentioned. You have inspired me to be able to maintain a streak, and provided a forum that gave me something to do on the nofap forums. Nothing is lost, your streak is massive! Get back on the horse, avoid the chasers and all the best as you focus more on other healthy habits for yourself.
