NoFap as porn substitute?

My last relapse was on May 11 this year, which means I haven't watched porn or masturbated since that date, which is now 4 months ago. Today according to my counter I have been PM free in 122 days.

Actually most things are going quite good. If it's placebo or not - in fact I don't care - I have noticed a big difference after day 90, as many say that I would. For weeks I have had almost no thoughts about watching porn or masturbate at all. The only thing I longed for is having sex with my (very pregnant) wife. But strangelly since last week the cravings for porn and masturbation has been stronger again - I really can't understand it. I still haven't acted upon it though...

What I have noticed is that I have started using NoFap-threads as a porn fantasy substitute! Reading about guys seeing prostitutes, describing sex details, searching for "trigger" contents and so on. Have any of you done the same? I don't like it, and I have never seen the NoFap Forum as anything else than inspiration to keep on the track, until now. Is it just because my wife is still unavailable because of the pregnancy, and my brain just want sex?

Yeah, I've done it a couple times this year. These are the kind of things I'm learning to tell my sponsor because they end up being my triggers for falling back in. I remember back when I had a 90 day streak 4 years ago I was doing it quite a bit before I fell.

The strange thing is that I have had cravings for transgendered person porn. I have watched a little of that before, but not much. My porn problem has rather been gay porn - as a result of early porn escalation during me teens (I’m not all interrested in guys IRL). But now my brain is full of transwomen, it just started some days ago when reading a thread about it. And now I’m looking for triggering content in the NoFap forum all the time!

  5. It's probably better to avoid certain sections of the forum altogether.

Don't forget there's an "ignore" function also.

Its probably even better to stay off the internet generally. Build your life around offline activities, as much as possible. Only use the internet for functional and professional reasons, not recreationally. Once you start having a regular sex life again, the internet kink fetishes will start to melt away. Your brain is just spinning desperately for easy dopamine spikes from the damage the addiction has done. It will pass once you heal more.

  7. Sorry to hear about the pregnancy! All three of my wife's pregnancies she was high libido so I was lucky there!

Yes, I have searched for trigger texts and stories on here before..and ended up private messaging people here to get a fix before! Maybe long way to go with healing??
