I am new to NoFap but I've tried numerous times to quit porn before and failed.

Welcome! Check out some of the resources here and read some of the stories others have posted. I am the same when it comes to depression and using pmo during this time. Make a plan for what to do when a urge does come up and maybe try and get outside more when depression gets bad.

 

First of all, I am fairly new to NoFap as well. In the short time I have spent here I have felt such a relief from my negative emotions. When I share my stories people don't judge me, they just want to help. It is a beautiful thing. One of the biggest things that has helped me these past three days is instead of going on to YouTube and/or social media (triggers) when getting in front of a screen I come here and read other people's stories, and I ask myself, "how can I help"? Just plain encouragement without the scolding will deal all of us some healing energy. Perhaps this is something that you felt was missing.

I am glad you recognized the need to stop at a younger age, and I wish you continued healing.

 

Hey brother, as a 23 year old, I completely understand your situation. I started out at age 11, and haven't had much control either. I'm glad to know that we're both in the right community to try and rebuild our lives. I too want to be healed, and to truly deal with all the pain and anxiety that resides inside me. I'll keep you in my prayers!
