ok so change heroin for chocolate it is also very addictive drug and why not eat chocolate:) but there are still people who will overuse it :) but why not to eat chocolate sometime? :D same porn... how do you want to choose proper sexual partner, you check how models looks in porn and then just date proper woman :) it is easy ... problem is western kind of thinkig, western people overuse everything and puritanism is also overusing of "nothing"

sure man, you can abstain to rest of life if you want, but you will never beat your addiction... but as you say everybody is different, you probably want be abstaining addicted and it is ok... self control is not for everyone...

  3. Haha - that's so sly.

I don't even think about the things I used to be addicted to - I'm not worried. But why would I want to reintroduce them into my system? I did it once years ago with tobacco and beer and had to shit immediately and nearly vomited.

Each to their own, but don't imply I'm still some sort of addict in denial.

yes it depends if it has no positive effect for you then dont do it for sure... i dont want repeat myself, but once again, u managed your addiction if it doesnt affect you, thats all... i understand you when i quit smoking i did not think about smoke, but i didnt avoid people who smoke, because i kow it is part of life people just smoke... i have no problem use tobacco for example in shisha... but i do it very rare... it is same like cake... sugar is shit but sometime i eat cake... thats all... but its about that i dont need it and i have no urges to do it, it must be just fun and freedom of choice... :)

You are unrealistically lying to yourself. If you truly did not need it you would not do it. It's not freedom to do it, you're an addict.
You are aware that it's bad, you admit you don't want to do it and yet you still do it. Does this sound reasonable to you? You just make excuses why it's ok, just like any addict.
Please don't trash everyone else here who have actually admired to have a problem with addiction and are trying to recover. You're still in the process of denial.

  7. Hey guys, I just want to have fun and dont want to disrespect anyone so please dont take it seriously.

I just wanna say that I had a blast reading this whole thread from start to finish. I am currently laughing my ass off :D. The lore surrounding this whole thread is truly breathtaking. The conflicts, the dialogues and mainly the characters have amazed me as hell.

So I have decided to summarize the whole story in a very funny manner (and this is all meant to be a joke so please dont take it seriously) :

    PAGE 1 :
It all started with our main character, @nfpexperiment who is struggling from making some really important life decisions. He decides to ask other nofap soldiers for their advice. And to his surprise, a 500+ days soldier comes out of the shadows to help him. His name was @Captain! . @Captain! was a very wise and brutally honest man, he cut to the chase and tells him the truth. Many other soldiers like @DesertExplorer, @Knighthawk, @Nicko Stretch, @Infrasapiens, @FapistMonk, @BertrandR also agree with @Captain! 's ideology and give the main character the same advice. Main character is left lost and confused in lust. But then suddenly, a powerful figure rises from the dark dimension, his name is deleted account. He opposes @Captain! and his followers and then advices @nfpexperiment to completely give into his lust.

    PAGE 2 :
One of the followers of @Captain! named @BertrandR starts doubting his leader's philosophy and the leader immediately corrects him by showing him tons of facts. And then suddenly @Captain! calls deleted account a hypocrite. This was the moment that started a war between @Captain! and Deleted Account. This war would last for many ages. In this war there was no good or evil, both were equals. @Captain! talks about elephants and tells him to reboot more. Deleted account tells him good luck but in return with full rage and anger @captain responds by calling him a jerk. Meanwhile, @EmmyB kind heartedly helps the main character with his decisions. @EmmyB may be the most kindest person in the whole saga. This was the moment when main character slowly starts to fade into the background.......

    PAGE 3 :
And chapter 3 starts many ages after the war ended. Both @Captain! and deleted account had left the battlefield. The main character had seemingly left his own story. But a new war was about to begin, in this new war many famous nofap legends join the story. The story picks up again when @HugoDePrag calls the main character a "fanatic puritans" this really pisses off one of @Captain! 's followers called @Knighthawk who was the only one left on the battlefield. This starts a new war, in which @HugoDePrag shows his power by telling @Knighthawk that he will never be able to cure his addiction. Wounded from his earlier war, the comments didnt affect @Knighthawk and he left the battlefield.

    PAGE 3 PART II :
And then comes in the most clever man on nofap, @thinking_differently who confronts @HugoDePrag in a loving manner and they two get along well. And that is the end of @HugoDePrag 's character arc. And then comes in @Chris_Cactusblossom ,one of nofap's most wisest legends. And then @Chris_Cactusblossom and @thinking_differently talk about tobacco alcohol and drugs. There seems to be a sense of unfriendliness among the two legends. The both legends end their character arcs on a healthy disagreement. But then suddenly just like a shining bright light of hope, comes in our @Protector of Hope. He answers in seven words, the solutions to end all wars. These seven words could easily change the course of history. These seven words could easily solve all of humanity's problems. These seven words were "Fapping isn't a reward. Fapping is nothing." And everyone lived happily ever after.

    THE END

And then out of the gloomy darkness a lone wolf comes back. Very surprised that the thread he was just commenting turned unto an epic story. Wondering why would such a thread be this poetic, romantic and at the same time comedic. This was all because of the story telling of @Lord Pickles the narrator of this wondrous tale of how not to jerk.

What’s the science say? Lot of opinions here but having an orgasm generally should not problematic in a person with healthy sexuality that is doing it for “maintenance” - ie...it’s not compulsive behaviour and it’s not due to an addiction.

The viewing or imaging porn or compulsive masturbation when you actually aren’t releasing healthy sexual tension is the problem. The psychological literature appears clear there.

There is also a need to learn how to revisit our own bodies and the sensations - porn deprogrammed all that and guys being visual just lap it up.

I’m on day 47 - porn addict starting my journey. And honestly, I want to have a healthy relationship with sexuality and sex. I’ve been studying the literature and it’s clear porn or sex addiction use the same paths ways as other addictions.

Like with food, at some point that HAS to include masturbation. It has to include being in touch with how things make us feel - especially sexual and emotionally intimate partners.

NoFap I think is a good guideline on putting boundaries around this though and it’s also a method of allowing us to revisit our own sexuality.

Im new here...what do you folks think?

  12. Hey man, you're gonna fall back into the PMO trap if you fap as a ''reward'' after a month clean... Also, the goal is to get rid entirely of PMO, if you're a porn addict, you're going to crave even more. And if you want to experience the NoFap benefits you should give at least 60.. 90.. or even 120 days (depends on people).
